There was a lady who sat in our peanut heaven section at 3 Rivers who we all thought was Hanratty's mother or something. Every time Bradshaw or Gilliam screwed up this very nasally sounding lady would screach out "Put Hanratty in, put Hanratty in". Hanratty left the team and 15-20 years went by. I took my new wife to a game and whoever was the Steelers QB threw an interception. Out of the past the same nasally voice screached out "Put Hanratty in". The entire section busted up laughing. My wife looked at me in bewilderment "What was so funny about that?".

 

May be it was because she wanted to see his fabulous physique, as evidenced here:

Hanratty probably looked the same 15 years later.

I have seen it, but you have to explain that one to me, because I have not figured it out.

This is where I have been getting the numbers. Steelers.com needs to update it from 2012.

 

Whoops can't believe I forgot Gary Anderson was #1 - the rest are all relatively forgettable or even before my time which is saying something. Thanks Diamond and Take. Great way to have fun with an otherwise boring countdown.

 

But how could you forget ___Zeher?

 

Evidently pretty easy, because no one in the Steelers organization knew his first name.

yep enjoyed it. you can do it every year now. you will have to start from 99 so we can have da beard.

 

I'll do 99-84, then somebody else will have to help me. 5 minutes a day X 83 is about 7 hours of non-union labor. If Le'Veon Bell only holds out for 7 hours, I'll call it even. I hope you all have your two beers left and didn't finish them off early.
