With Dobbs making a sterling debut (alright, one pass) today, is it too early to put the tag of greatness on the 2017 draft? Watt, JuJu, Conner, now Dobbs and Sutton has potential.

Way too early, it looks promising though.

While not the '74 draft, this is clearly one of the best draft classes of any team in recent memory

Watt, Juju and Conner are fantastic picks. Sutton is a wait and see. Dobbs is a turd. If he wasn't and the coaches really believed he was going to be something, they wouldn't have spent another pick this year on a QB. He threw 1 pass today that was a rainbow shot, that had ANYONE thought he would throw the ball would have either picked it off or knocked away. I'm thrilled the play worked, but Dobbs is EXACTLY what we saw in preseason. Weak arm, 1 read QB. Basically a cheap knock off of Vick minus the dog fighting.....I hope.

Don't tell me your one of those bitter LJ guys still. He won the job fair and square. He came into a big spot and delivered when it counted and we needed it most. You don't get extra points based on how pretty your throws are. All that matters is he completed the pass. He also had the wherewithal to change the play and had the confidence in himself to make a play and he did. I didn't realize every other QB tips the D as to what the play is gonna be. We don't know what Dobbs future holds but give him credit where credit is due.

The Saints '17 draft too, having both the offensive and defensive rookies of the year, a starting safety with 5 picks and a 16 game starting OT.

Dobbs made a play when we needed it in a situation that may have held the balance of the game. Granted it was only a second down play, and Ben may have still been able to make a play on 3rd down, but the reality is that Dobbs delivered cold off the bench and definitely helped us win today. I wont even entertain any other facet of his skill set at this point since its irrelevant at this juncture.

The '17 draft makes up for '15.
