That is the Steelers last playoff win .
That is not acceptable. It just isn't.
Major changes need to happen this off season.
I would unload all high salaried defensive players for better WR and RB and OL.
    You win with offense .
Tomlin , what can I say. You are not a good coach .

Honestly I would trade Minkah, Watt , and Pickens this off season.
You could get a lot for them to help the true rebuild.
They can't win with them anyways.

If you could get 2 first round picks for Watt , would you do it ?
I wouldn't hesitate. This team has too many needs on offense and the defense is terrible anyways. Get a new DC too.

Is this really your idea how to make the team better? Trade away our best players for draft picks? Nobody can honestly believe this is how you build a team. If you want to trade our first round pick for a player that is already established as an all-pro(like we did for Minkah), that makes sense. Trade a player for a player (like when the Rams and Lions traded QBs) is worthy of discussion.

Trading away our best players for unknown draft picks? Nah

The team obviously will not be as good right away but with extra draft picks in round 1 and 2 you will be better in a couple years than they are now or would be finishing 9-8 or 10-7, barely making the playoffs before getting embarrassed in round 1 .
TJ Watt is a great player but he is over 30 and the team can't win with him. Trade him for the future .
The offense needs about 3 more playmakers.

Ther's no point tearing it all down to rebuild it under the same regime. Because the results will be the same.

I was just golfing with an avid NYG fan. He pretty much says same thing about his team. He knows they are 3-4 years away and that is with luck in the draft. If an organization wants to be a real SB contender it would be the right move. At times I think the organization is scared to have seasons like the Giants just had and just want to stay slightly above average.

Some of the logic you're using doesn't make sense. Whatever holes there may be on offense, Watt, Pickens, and Minkah (despite the latter's statistically down season) are all talented players. If you can't win with them, what makes you think they win with three or four other guys they replace them with in the draft? (Not to mention Pickens is the most talented player they've got on the side of the ball you're looking to improve.)

Draft picks aren't sure things. So merely acquiring a few more doesn't guarantee you end up with significantly better talent in a couple of years. Besides, the team has the resources via their current draft capital and ~$53M in cap space to add significant pieces next season if they want. On top of that they'll be gaining a pseudo first and third round pick to next year's draft class when Fautanu and Wilson return, so I'm not seeing the point in trading off some of the best players right now.

    Imagine that. ;)

That would seem to be their destiny as long as Tomlin remains the HC. He can be praised for never having a losing season, but he's a high-floor, low-ceiling type of coach. The team had some down years under Cowher, but also had more highs in the way of playoff appearances and wins.

I'm personally exhausted with the Tomlin era.

They were just in the Super Bowl .
and lets see what happens tomorrow, they still have a chance to make the playoffs.

I mean when the Steelers are in a big game now, its a joke.
They come unprepared and get their doors blown off.
The coaching staff does nothing out of the ordinary, ever.
    Its disheartening.

They need a franchise QB and until they find the next one they will continue to lose to the teams that have them.

Cowher had a losing record in the playoffs until that Super Bowl run in 2005.

In the early 90s, I worked for a very wealthy, powerful Mexican, One evening, his executive secretary called me on his behalf to change the plans for the boat (again). Without thinking, I said this to his secretary. I had to apologize and plead ignorance of Mexican slang!
