2016 NFL Draft Discussion Thread [No Spoilers]

Biggest sleeper in this draft is me. Wake me up when we pick again.

 

Starting to think they're still bitter over their playoff disaster.

 

I guess we like the AFC North type players....

After thinking about it for a while, I`m a bit concerned. We need to get whatever players we need to win another SB in the next 3-4 years while Ben is still in his prime. That should be our goal. That means not doing business as usual in the draft and think more short term, most importantly, getting a couple key players at CB IMO.

Did we accomplish that in this draft?

I wish there was a way we could have traded up to get a special player like Ramsey who only comes along once in a long while, but that had to be impossible and the way we went was the only way.

I hope Burns works out to be great and next year we go get the final pieces to make us #1 for a couple years.

 

Then why are The Bengals taking them?

 

I think we did that. Even if the players were off the popular consensus mark. We hit our biggest needs and in order of priority. Cb first with a long reach corner for the outside. Then a physical safety who can play corner with tons of solo tackles, then a DT who is already being heralded. Add a softer schedule then 2015, we stay healthy on offense.. I'm feeling it.

We will see who contributes from this class but we were a contender last year. This year is easier minus blake and finally, a crop of young secondary talent picked on the top end of a draft.

 

Any word on who is they may be targeting?

Lmbo... Yeah, was thinking the same thing. It seem like this draft wasn't filled with a lot of bonefide talent. Normally, I can't wait until after the draft to get a udfa but this year...I think they were already scraping the bottom of the barrel in the 5th rd

 

Yeah I have been on the Hogan bandwagon, however I really like that Aaron Murray they drafted a few years ago....

I can rest easy now, Jake Ruddock got drafted and it wasn't the Steelers.
