While people think there is reason to be positive, don't be shocked if the backslide.

Denver, NE, Indy - would anyone be shocked if they go 1-2 or 0-3?
@ SD, @ KC - tough places to play
Oak - haven't the Steelers lost 2/3 in a row to them? Are they worse than this year's TB or Jets teams
Sea. Arz, SF, StL - those teams are all very good and physical
Division games - what's the best you can hope for there?

Meanwhile Cincy gets Buffalo and Houston
    Baltimore gets Miami and Jacksonville

We have the offense to compete with anybody, it's our secondary and Lebeau's crappy schemes that I'm more worried about. Only Den, NE, and Seattle stand out for me, SF suck, arizona are over achievers, SD are chokers, KC has a dumber coach than us.

    2-2 vs afc west
    1-1 vs NE, Indy

    9-7 at best

Does it really matter what the schedule looks like when we blow the easy games so frequently? Maybe a tough schedule will make them step up, but overall, I'm done trying to guess about what we'll do just based on a list of opponents. We haven't been consistent enough for that to be realistic.

    Quite.

I also refuse to look at the schedule until I know who's on our roster and who's on the other teams. If this season should have taught us all one thing, it's that parity is alive and well in the NFL.

Way too early to start making predictions on records of course. I'd love to bet against any of you that do this right now.

Remember- the Steelers had a brutal schedule in 2008. And they represent a tough game on those other team's schedules too.

Last season it was released April 23. That was about a week later than usual.
