I think it's actually his middle name.

I know its ridiculous..and I shouldnt sweat it..BUT would it be too much to ask for the Steelers to get...you know ...a LITTLE bit of national coverage?...they just breezed right over our pick with no commentary..no nothing..

Ok...one of the two corners has the potential to get solid special teams and dime coverage attempts this season. My money is on the shorter guy who has more natural talent.

I give the Steelers a solid B grade with this draft. They addressed all areas of need (other than TE) with there first 4 picks.

Both should contribute. Grant is a very good scheme fit for us, maybe even a starter later this season if Cortez doesn't get over whatever the heck messed him up last year. Grant wouldn't work for everyone, but he fits what we do well.

I don't expect him to see anything other than special teams this season, but he'll make a difference there.

    From Narwocki's Draft Guide:

    Doran Grant
Draft projection: second to third round pick
Scout's take: "He can run. He can hit. He will tackle. I don't know how he makes it out of the second round."

That is possible. Pittsburgh liked him at Syracuse Pro Day. And Shamarko I'm sure added his two cents. I still say as a Saftey...Cody Prewitt has a way way higher upside, and goes well with Golson.

I was late to the party today.. But I was watching a few videos of our draft picks.. And did anyone else see the piece on Coates and how's he's best friends with a little girl who was diagnosed with leukemia? If this was already discussed I apologize. I believe I saw it on bleacher report. But def was a heartwarming story. Other than his skills as a WR, I can see why the steelers were so high on him. He has the right attitude and character that steeler nation will love.

Eskridge, Smith, Holliman, Drummon, Amos- I'd be happy with any of them. But mostly Holliman.

I'm just glad they double dipped at the CB position, and actually drafted some guys who can play not like the last few drafts.

You are obviously looking at Holliman's stats page. Cause those 14 Interceptions came at the expense of him allowing like 31 TD's this past season...and that's no lie either. Charlie Strong even benched him twice when he was there. Holliman has a lot of holes. In fact, if he goes before the LATE 7th round I will be surprised.

Me too, but I'd be shocked if the Steelers viewed Holliman as draftable...
