I know this could have waited another 12 hours and it would be firm, but I was looking ahead to next year and thought I'd share it a little prematurely.

    http://www.johnnyroadtrip.com/schedules/nfl_future_afcn.htm

The Steelers will finish either 2nd or 3rd and the Jets/Dolphins are to be determined too. With that in mind...

    AWAY
    Baltimore
    Cincinnati
    Cleveland
    Jacksonville
    Tennessee
    Carolina
    Atlanta
    Jets/Dolphins

    Home
    Baltimore
    Cincinnati
    Cleveland
    Houston
    Indianapolis
    New Orleans
    Tampa Bay
    Kansas City/San Diego

What jumps out at me is that regardless of todays results, the Steelers will do very little traveling and have 15 of their games in the Eastern Time Zone. This should be welcome to those who questioned Tomlin's itineraries this year. Regardless, the Steelers have historically been abysmal out West, so in 2014 that won't be an issue.

Also if the schedule maker is kind, the impact of weather could be reduced greatly with so many southern teams on the schedule. Hopefully Jacksonville, Atlanta, and (possibly) Miami are second half of the year games. If so it could bode well for the offense which will undoubtedly have to carry this team next year.

For those living in and around the Pittsburgh area, this is an AMAZING schedule if you want to plan a road trip. Surely at least a few of those Southern games will be later in year and what would be a better get away than a weekend in November/December in Miami? Or even Jacksonville?

All in all, I look at the schedule and see an easy 12-4 possibly 13-3 :lolol: :roflmao::roflmao:...(bookmark it for next year Jack!)

Sweet! I'll get to watch the Steelers in 2014 without having to leave Atlanta.

    Here's another thought...

If the Steelers away schedule were to be in exact order: Carolina, Tennessee, Atlanta, Jacksonville, and Miami they could fire Todd Haley and then (re)hire Rams WR coach Ray Sherman as OC and recreate "Sherman's March to the Sea" where the Steelers offense scorches its way from Charlotte to Miami leaving everything in ruin.

    :roflmao::roflmao:

    **edit**
Provided Gilbert doesn't injure too many other O linemen.

You know damn well several posters will complain that Tomlin did it with Cowher's players, a few more will blame DL's schemes for not allowing us to win 52-0, and yet a few more will find some way to find fault with Arians. Meanwhile I will be drinking a bourbon barrel aged stout screaming for them to draft a competent OL in the 2015 draft.

Early look at Steelers 2014 schedule

By finishing second in the AFC North they will play at the Jets and host the Chiefs. Also they will play the AFC South and the NFC South.

careful what you ask for my friend.. of course this is a shot in the dark... and a lot can change with our cap space.. do we resign sanders? .. who we keep .. who we get rid of.. based on that schedule if we dont go 11-5 we would really suck.. i mean if i could make up the schedule thats about what i would choose.. so right now id have to go 11-5... but then again .. we were 8-8 with ben playing every game.. probably almost every down... BUT if ben plays all 16 games next season and with that schedule .. 11-5 should be a lock .. now you got it ..

I remember Sherman. He took the blame for Kordell not becoming a consistent Q.B.

Does anybody know which teams we play next year. We should have the 6 games from the AFC North, I think I heard we play the AFC West teams, and the NFC South teams and then we play who ever finished in 2nd place in the AFC East and AFC West. Which should make up the the schedule.

So in short. Please correct me if I'm wrong on this.
    Ravens twice
    Browns twice
    Bengals twice
    Broncos
    Chiefs
    Raiders
    Chargers
    Saints
    Panthers
    Falcons
    Buccaneers
    Titans
    Jets

I'd almost bet that Saints game becomes a SNF or MNF game.
