2013, a bad season for the Steelers

think about that and be thankful about who you root for.
.500 and it's a bad year.

 

Bad year or not....This team, although it still needs some help, yes the same team that started 0-4, has a chance to make the playoffs.

 

I think a lot of us had black and gold blinders on first of year. 8-8 with a lot of positives I think. young players have emerged and offense seems to be better. get healthy and drop some dead weight and salaries on defense and we will be fine I think. cant call it a bad year for me cause this team has shown a lot of fight

 

Proud of the team for continuing to fight to the end. Honestly, when you start 0-4 and lose to the Vikings, Titans, Raiders and Dolphins in a snowstorm, you don't deserve it. Hey, don't get me wrong, I'll take it if it's handed to us and the way we're playing now, we could do some damage.

 

I think the funny thing is, if I am ANY team in the AFC currently in the playoffs, I am rooting for the Chargers to win. I man ANY team. The Steelers started off poorly, but are now 8-4 over the last 12 games. That is a heck of a job by this coaching staff. If we make the playoffs our confidence will be pretty high and I wouldn't want to be the Bengals....

 

i must admid i did NOT see an 8-4 finish coming .. after losing to those crappy teams.. after an 0-4 preseason ... after an 8-8 season last year.. the 8-4 finish is impressive... the turnaround showed a lot of heart i think this team was lacking for a while.. tinker bell turned it around and showed me something.. i think its was a case of too little too late .. but ya never know.... amazing how we didnt get knocked out last week ..

They are a team in a semi-rebuilding mode. They finished where many predicted them to finish.

 

If the chargers lose it will be a great season and mike tomlin would be my choice for coach of the year

Yep. I've been critical of Tomlin but I do give him credit for making sure the team kept fighting.

 

Another year we reached at least .500 for the season.

I think the tradition is the propellant.

Interesting, I was just looking at our schedule. It really could have been 8 wins in a row. The Baltimore game came down to the 2-pt. conversion. The Miami game could have been the "Flee Flicker Miracle" had Brown stepped 1 foot to his right.

I will say the following, despite all of this, if we make the playoffs, I expect Goodell will be ticked enough to take away a draft pick.
