2005 AFC Divisional Playoff Game: Steelers vs Colts

The NFL just posted the full game on YouTube.

 

I remember being on the "other" Steelers board before that game- you know the one, it was the "official" one- and almost no one had any hope of our winning that game. The Colts were supposed to be the greatest team of all time.

Huh.

This is one of those Steelers games no one ever forgets. A few things stick out-

- how unbelievably bad a call it was on the Polamalu interception play. He ran around with the ball for what seemed like a half hour but they still ruled it no catch.

- my screaming at the TV when Bettis fumbled. Oh what a bad play call that was. The Colts had 3 timeouts left, the Steelers had first and goal at the one. Why try to score on first down on a play like that which exposed the ball?
They should have called quarterback sneaks, at least on first and second down, to burn the time outs.

- the huge and since forgotten defensed pass by Bryant McFadden on 3rd down before the field goal attempt went wide.
