I see Clark & Nassib both being 2nd rounders.

Yeah, but you never know. Colbert could trade down.

    gulp.

I hope we don't draft that way.

I have no issue with trading out of 1, if we don't move too far down in 2 and maybe pick up another 3 as well.

    Its 3 weeks out :club:

Rather have Billings. I like Nasib a lot but don't see us taking him in the 2nd. Think there will be a DB in one of the first two rounds.

nassib is ranked in the 2nd. clark is ranked end of 1st- top of 2nd, right where we are picking. i don't think billings will be there. i thought cb would be a first or second pick too, but the more of these guys i see us looking at, the more i see us wanting a certain couple of guys and if they are gone we go another direction until later. it all depends on how it plays out. personally i'd like to see:

    1. ogbah OLB
    2. fuller- burns CB
    3. green FS
    4. brown OLB
    6. simmons FS
    7. lewis WR
    7. lowery DE - williams CB/FS/KR/PR

Leaving Apple, Jackson, Alexander on the table to trade down is not maximizing the window we have with Ben. We need a real # 1 cornerback. A guy who has talent so he can get better as the season goes along; and beyond. Not sure if there is anyone in the 2/3 and beyond that fits that bill.

There's no way the Steelers ignore the secondary in the first 2 rounds.

If they do, It better be for an OLB/edge rusher or this Steeler fan will be highly disappointed.

Don't know much about the 6th - 7th rounders listed here, but if rounds 1-4 pan out like this, I'd be a happy camper (assuming Fuller and Joseph pass the knee checks).

I like this a lot, mac! Although I am not familiar with the 7th round WR.

young and lowery have been here for visits. louis from auburn is a big strong kid. 6-2 215 18 reps 4.39 38 in. vert. 11' long jump. physical kid. coates should know him well.

lowery, im not sure he will remain a 7th rounder by the time it's over with.

young we have shown a lot of interest in. short kid but has started for temple since his freshmen year. good production too.

Yeah, I saw that we've had Young and Lowery in. I just haven't had time to go very deep into film this year. Work is very demanding right now. Once we get past the 3rd or 4th round, there will be very few players that I've been able to do anything more than read about.

what i'm reading on joseph is he won't be ready by camp. probably not until mid season. i see us looking at and bringing in a lot of 6th round ranked DB's (corners and safeties) could this be the plan? do we take joseph in the first or hope he doesn't get much attention and hope he drops to the 2nd for us? with the depth at safety in this draft do we just go for another guy? bell, green, neal, simmons, thompson, powell, bush, elston, hunter, cash, byard, dillon, fejedelem, davis, kilebrew, kearse, houston-carson, lucas. lots of them to pick from. i see simmons and powell have moved up. powell to the 5th and simmons to the 3rd and possibly slipping into the bottom of the 2nd. neal has now moved to the bottom of the 1st on some boards.

I believe the Steelers will pull the trigger on Joseph, we have Golden and possibly Grant to hold down the fort
until Karl is ready. What is perplexing is how to get Artie Burns/ Justin Simmons in the fold. A deal may have to be cut
to get a chance at one of these guys. I have them both in the 2nd. With these recent trades the big boards are moving too fast
and I can't keep pace. Can we move Pouncey for 2nd rounder?

Trading Pouncey would accelerate his prorated signing and restructuring bonus numbers to our 2016 cap. Instead of saving money, we would be worse off by about $4.5 million. And... We only have something like $3 million in cap space right now if a recent article I saw is correct. You can safely forget about moving Pouncey. The numbers won't allow it.
