In normal preseason fashion, we lose Aug. 9 and many fans want to clean house then win Aug. 17 and same fans start claiming SB Champs.

or Ola gets two sacks and five pressures while Sutton plays both ways and gets a strip sack and a TD at fullback and they will want to dump Dupree and Chick maybe Nix too.

Expecting a big push from Ola be interesting to see The Sutton experiment.

I assume these two games are live. As I recall NFL Network also shows replays 24/7 of many pre-season games until the next week games begin. Nothing worse though than trying to watch a pre-season away game where the homer cameras and reporters spend more time along the sidelines than focusing on the games themselves - almost unwatchable and certainly un-listenable. I wish DTV Sunday Ticket picked up the pre-season where you could choose which announcers you want to watch and listen to. I'd even pay a little extra for that.

Talking about preseason, I wish Ben and the starters would play more.

Yeah... the offense will be the usual Tomlin-patented, Chinese Fire Drill in New England, week 1 and throughout September.

Yeah, something like that. Shame is we have shown we can beat those guys now, but we probably cannot in week one unless we are sharp. When was the last time in week one anybody said we looked like we were in midseason form? It will take that level of play to win that game.

We just need Rudolph to play first week of preseason, complete 25/25 for 4 TDs, then Ben will demand to play all remaining preseason snaps, and we’ll be sharp as in wk 1.

Cannot wait for the Devin Bush debut. I have not been as excited for a Steelers Defensive Rookie since, coincidentally, Ryan Shazier. Let it be a good one Bush!

    Go get them!! :herewego:

I don't expect flash plays from Bush. Just clean up the mess vs. the running game. Rack up the tackles and let Ola and Watt wreak havoc.

    Timmons 2.0?
I hope he is a playmaker like Shazier.

You're gonna be disappointed. One thing I've learned during the Popcorn regime.... lower expectations.

Timmons, Kirkland, Kendrell Bell caliber performance from Bush... would be adequate at ILB.

Can't get my hopes up with Bush until there is something to get my hopes up about. Nothing has been proven yet. I reserve this for when competitive play begins and see what we have on our hands. Seen too many high draft picks come and go with crazy preseason predictions, hopes and dreams. IF he does what he was drafted to do then that will be a great thing.

I think we would all dread the season where the Steelers in the the opener were at mid-season form because that would be one smelly mid-season. But at least we can brag about beating last years SB champ and tying this years obvious SB champ in the opener last year.

Yeah, NFL does suck. There's no team currently who can supplant the team near Boston. It sucks knowing who is going to win the damn Super Bowl every year. And it sucks there's nobody in the AFC that can compete with them. Yeah, football does suck lately.
