At this point the only people that bring it up are the occasional reporter and the torch and pitchfork crowd. Tomlin living rent free in their heads

Yes because that would mean that they finished the season winning 7 out of their last 9 games. For Pickett playing in a playoff game his rookie year would be a huge building block for next season. He would have playoff experience and know what it's all about going forward.

Fight Steelers for the non-losing season. If we don't make the playoffs, we can still keep Tomlins streak going. And yes, it matters to him and me it's an accomplishment. Need jets AND Miami to lose

Just an FYI for those who don't know:

The Standard is the Standard is playoff wins and championships. So they have not met expectations for a while.

Anyways, go out fighting. I feel Pickett took a step forward last week. And how about we see another defensive performance like last week.

Can't have the crows running all over us again. Looks like Lame-ar won't be playing.

So would I and most other steelers fans, so not really sure what you're implying with that asinine comment. And, in addition to the 3 first round losses in the past 6 years, we're on the verge of 3 years without even making the playoffs in the past 6 year period. If that kind of postseason performance meets your expectations, then you have very low standards like your boy, Tomlin. We've been over this before. Assuming a miracle doesn't happen, and the steelers don't squeak into the playoffs, this will be the worst 6 year postseason drought in steelers history.

If I'm not mistaken, the Steelers are on the verge of making the playoffs 3 years in a row. They have actually qualified for the playoffs in 7 of the last 10 years. The last time the Steelers did not make the playoffs was the 2019 season

    Triggered much?
I’m not sure why you’re babbling about all that. You implied that we wouldn’t win a playoff game this year. I merely said I’d rather have the opportunity than not. It’s not that complicated.
I’m not sure how Tomlin is my boy? You and a handful of others are obsessed with Tomlin.

For some reason he’s hung up on six years when he originally started out with seven years until he found out that didn’t meet his narrative needs.

Not sure what is so difficult for you numbnuts to comprehend. The last time the steelers did jack squat in the postseason was 2016. Since then, they have missed postseason twice, and this will likely be the 3rd time since then. And the 3 times they made postseason since 2016, they got embarrassed by inferior teams and were 1 and done. Show me a worse 6 year postseason stretch in steelers history. It doesn't exist and that is your boy Tomlins legacy.

And hall monitor, don't flatter yourself. You're the loser who always follows me around hanging on every word I post. Quite frankly, I get tired of constantly owning your lame ass. You bore me with your incessant whining and complaining about anybody posting anything that you don't like.

And even worse in the 2016 playoff run we beat Matt Moore for Miami and then Alex Smith for KC. We were basically gifted two wins because of horrible opponent QB play. The 3rd win was the game Cincy self imploded with personal fouls. Just to give some context to how bad the Steelers have been in the postseason for 12 years now. The homers really don’t get how bad of a stretch this has been since we got beat by GB in the SB and coincidentally most of Cowhers players started retiring.

And we haven't come close to winning a single game that we've lost in the playoffs since 2011, outside of 2015 against Denver...the steelers gave up over 40 points in the last 3 playoff games!

If the Steelers can somehow make it into the playoffs this year and then somehow manage to win a WC game, then I'll happily eat crow and say I'm wrong. If not, then that's 6 years in a row without a postseason win.

From '67 to '72 is 5 years of not even being close to the postseason and you don't think those were worse years?

50/50 chance of winning what? a playoff game, just because you are in the game?

Don't you know that we have to beat every elite player on every elite team with every elite coach by a minimum score of 77-0 or all of those trophies are a complete fluke. And then we have to trade the #32 draft pick for the #1 overall draft pick the next season so that we can repeat that task for all eternity. If it does not happen that way then we are all just wasting our Sundays.
