    I'm watching this snooze fest and was wondering, whatever happened to the forward lateral? It used to be a penalty. when did they get rid of that?

    Who did that? It still is a penalty. Only 1 forward pass allowed per play, as long as the ball is behind the LOS.

    I haven't really been watching this game closely, but damn, Atlanta looks bad.

    It used to be that a ball, tossed underhanded forward, was a forward lateral. Manning did it in this game as he was about to be sacked. It wasn't a "shovel" pass. I know other teams do it too, I was just wondering when they stopped calling it. About the same time they stopped calling traveling in basketball?

    Funny how 2 is all they ever got. Surprised though, atlanta was looking good at first then they got slammed.
