    Second half yards!

its beginning to look like Colbert has put together another outstanding defense. We still have Sutton waiting in the wings and the development of Brian Allen. Another piece or two and this defense is going to be scary good.

To think people wanted Butler out after essnentially a rebuiliding process that took place in 2014. We did not have the horses then.

Took Colbert three years. Let that sink in for a second. For a good defensive rebuild, it generally takes four to six years.

All the more reason Colbert, Tomlin and Butler all are not going anywhere.

    Yup!

And I think Shuster -Smith is the reincarnation of Ward (maybe not as good) and Rogers is the new Randel El.

I loved the squad from those years. Love to see it again.

Keep Bell and put a gun to Ben's head for a 2 more seasons.

Go out like Elway and hopefully better than him and Bradshaw.

I'm usually very critical of Butler but whatever he did at halftime really paid off. 19 yards is unreal..

I am more excited about facing Brady in the future!

This truly does feel like our year. Should Pittsburgh get New England at home, we have a good shot of finally pulling that monkey off our back!!

The fact we adjusted and defense clamped down. There’s hope!

Dont forget Lake. Took so much unwarranted heat because he couldnt make an all pro squad out of the motley crew he was given.

Always knew he was a good coach.

I did not good friend. :smiley1: Just overcome with joy upon seeing the fruits of labor being reaped.

If anything, Lake is now to the defensive backs what Mike Munchak is to the offensive line.

Not to take anything away from the D, but Bengals O line is just putrid, and Mixon is a liability in protection.

I knew they tightened things up in the second half, but allowing 19 total yards is Steel Curtain worthy. It was funny when Romo said that Golden had more yardage on the pass to DHB on the fake punt than Dalton.

Watt has a motor like Kevin Green. I think he's going to be something special. IMO we still need a good safety before this defense is great.

    We do need a safety.

Thankfully though, the upcoming class is good. Not as deep as last seasons but good.

As for T.J.? Knew he had "it" from the moment I laid eyes on him during his junior days as Wisconsin. No reason that would change. Glad I was right.

Well..., the Lions are the second worst in sacks given up. Guess that means another solid performance.
