127 Wins

Tomlin inherited a 2006 Team that was 8-8. 2007 onward, that officially is Tomlins time as the Head Coach. Those players definitley helped but they also could have not done so.


For as much as people rail on Tomlin, what about Sean Payton?! Pete Carroll even? Last time I checked, both of those coaches delivered the most heart breaking moments in NFL History.



The 2014 loss to the Bucs pales in comparison to the 2017 Minnesota Miracle; never mind the infamous 2014 Seattle Super Bowl one.

Ravens will be tough.... I think Steelers can beat Titans and Cowboys even on a mediocre day. To beat Ravens, we can't have the offense take a quarter off like they did yesterday vs. Browns in the 1st quarter.

 

Maybe that's why I am so lenient towards Popcorn. Saw the same thing with Noll in the 80s. Noll deserves no hate either.

 

Titans look better than the Rats offensively. Shoot out Ben might be needed.

 

Ravens took a step back in offense this year. Still a really good defense though

I know it has been discussed to death (Tomlin/Cowher players). As I recall Cowher had pretty fast success when he started, and Noll left him some decent players. From what I remember (and I may be wrong), Chuck was given the option to stay, but he had to start with all new coaches (exception being Joe Green). That may be just folklore, but in the end CN just felt it was time to retire. Look at the 1991 roster that went 7-9, next year they went 11-5 with Cowher. Now granted the 95 SB team was all Bill's, but sometimes the success of one is built on a strong foundation from another.
