    Ok, 8.

Too bad for Whis he had a green QB, and still managed to score as many PPG (if not more) than good old BA. Point is we've seen minimal improvement (if any) in our offense since Ben entered the league. Either that's on Ben or BA. Much easier to find a competent OC than it is to find a franchise QB, so bye-bye BA.

I would say out of 31 other teams there are only 4 QBs I would classify as "terrifying" or even "a wittle scawy"
    Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Rivers.

You could list the QBs that every team in the league has faced and every single one will look like a list of 50-70% scrubs.

Still manipulating stats to suit your purpose.

If a team fails to make the playoffs, they should be a win. SHOULD be a win. Record at that point means nothing to me... unless they're a rare team that goes 11-5 or something but missed out.

How do we perform against actual contenders? yeah...

I'm not knocking our record. I'm knocking our record as justification that all is well.

    How am I manipulating stats?

It was said that the Steelers played mostly crappy teams this year. That they had a cream puff schedule.

I disagree and provided facts to back it up. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Earned what? Mediocrity? :roflmao: As usual stinky, you are in the minority on this point. It's you and maybe 2 other BA apologists on this board that are happy with BA and this anemic offense.

    :FBAI!:

I don't care who the OC is - just get to the playoffs year after year after year. 26 out of the last 40 years we've been watching football in January. Any other team have that record?

I'm not a big Arians fan but he has his work cut out for him with an offense designed for a mobile QB who cannot run.

Because a 9-7 cream puff is still a cream puff.

That strength of schedule is based soley on opponent's records. The fact is we only played 5 games against actual contenders, and the only one we won has the worst defense in recent memory.

If we want to manipulate stats, we can always look at this:

    http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/teamoff

It weighs offense against how tough your schedule is. Odd, that with a "tough" schedule, our rank fell to the bottom HALF of the league.

Yeah we are 12-4 but it's not an authoritative 12-4. It's not like "12-4!!! YES!!!" It's like "12-4??? HOW???" Or maybe it's just our disgust and distrust of BA that fuels our pessimism and discontent.

You guys are funny, you are cutting up a 12 win season just because you hate BA. Holy ****, if we went undefeated you'd be knocking that too. I dont give a rats ass about BA but don't dismiss our record, that just silly.

So by the logic of the BA defenders we don't need to upgrade the offensive line because they were good enough to get us in the playoffs?

Really piss poor analogy. I'm sure there are better players at alot of positions on this team, should we cut all them too??? Why not, by your reasoning since there are better OC's out there then BA then we should just scrap the whole freaking team. Also, the Oline suffered many injuries.

No it's not. The best the defenders seem to be able to say for BA is that we made the playoffs. There aren't just better OCs out there than BA, there are good ones - he's not one of them. This offense is predictable, it is awful in the red zone, and it has no solid and consistent running game.

Your reasoning leaves much to be desired. In the offseason the team will upgrade at every position it can. So yes, if we can find somebody better under the cap then we will cut as many players as we can. This team frequently does and that's why they keep winning. We upgraded the secondary coaching last year and it paid off. Time to do the same for the offense - the line and the coaches.

Hartwig was a good enough C to play in the SB....... Hahaha. (6 months later, he couldn't make a team and has been out of football ever since)

Agree. I would not shed a tear if Arians was let go but I would be suprised if he was. He resume speaks volume and it's hard to justify his release. But his red zone play calling sucks. Slant to Wallace and fade to Ward? C'mon Man!!!!

I'm not cutting up our record. I'm saying it cannot be used to justify that everything is ok. "Look at our record" is not a valid argument against criticism.

In fact, I believe *I* (and others) have been saying all year that this team could go 12-4 by default. (Meaning: sleep walking with their eyes closed)

we didn't dominate alot of teams, like we should have. we struggled with scoring against alot of lesser teams this year. the rams were actually the only one since seattle. game 2. theres trouble, but with our defense playing well we can hang.
