I agree. I also don't put much stock in it either. We had a ZERO percent chance of winning the Super Bowl in 05 and we did it.

there are 15 regular season games left. I think we knew coming out of the gate was going to be a little slow with the youth on offense.

losing our center right off the bat didn't help but there is time for even the line to improve week by week. as I thought we would.

this thing isn't anywhere close to over yet. we have a team called the Pittsburgh steelers and they don't throw in the towel because the media or a few of the fans think it's over since we aren't undefeated after one week. c'mon man.

C'mon guys. You have unproven or mediocre starters at RB, WR, G, C, OLB, ILB and CB. This has rebuilding year written all over it. Own it.

In my now infamous "preseason must win" post, ahem, I basically threw out the same number. Teams that go winless in the preseason have about a 1 in 10 shot of making the playoffs. So my question is this; if we go 0-2 after going 0-4 in the preseason, what are our chances? I wonder what the stats show about teams that go 0-4 in the preseason and 0-2 to start the season. I'll bet it ain't pretty!

There's a lot of season left, but....... I can't say I'm seeing many positive signs.

The last 8 regular season games this team has gone 2-6, that's half of a 4-12 season. They had 5 of these at home, and lost to lousy Cle, Tn and SD teams.

But, you'll argue "Hey, they were 6-3 last yr, Ben was getting MVP consideration before he got hurt". Ok, but they were 2-3 last yr when they were reasonably healthy and the dink/dunk off was supposedly clicking. Losing to TN and Oak. Maybe the 2-5 finish was not the aberration, maybe the 4game win streak at mid season was. Two of those wins were an OT game vs KC, and a win over the 8-8 NYG the week after Hurricane Sandy when a lot of their players didn't have power and were seriously distracted.

I would not be shocked if they played a tough game in Cincy, that may or may not be enough. But if they go 0-2 after another bad game in Cincy, I don't see much chance for playoffs.

Vegas doesn't think much of the Steelers at 0-1. They have them at 50-1 to win the SB. More than likely they won't win the SB but these are the Steelers and stranger things have happened. I put a couple of hundred on them to win it all. If I lose, I lose, I can deal with that small of a loss. If I win, not only will I have the memory of an outstanding season and SB number 7, but a very very nice return on a very small investment risk. Maybe I've been a Steeler fan for so long that in a way I would enjoy the win more than the money if I could have only one of the two. But if it happens I get both, can't beat that. Maybe we can all have a party.

Good luck, but there is a reason they have several dozen $100M hotels in the middle of the desert.

I will rooting for us to win first and foremost. But that said I just want us to play well. If we can play good football and loose I would be fine with that. Well, not really, but it's a start. :o)

If we can look like a professional football team with some good drives, the line blocks, the receivers catch some passes, the running game gets some holes I would be estactic.

We just didn't look efficient during the preseason or the first game.

If we lose, Tomlin will take full responsibility for the loss, so that will make it all better for us fans, dontcha know???

He gets paid 5 million a year to win games, that's credit enough, how about a pay cut for every game he loses over 4, hows that....

So he should only take the blame when we lose but shouldn't take any credit for wins? mmmk

    Pretty much ridiculous....

This seems to pretty much be the logic of a lot of the anti-Tomlin sentiments.
