Steelers are the only losers of the AFC North. Can the steelers beat the falcons and saints cause they are going to have to now for common opponent tie breakers since the Bengals beat the Falcons and bribes beat the saints

Pretty early to be thinking about that, especially considering the Steelers beat the Browns.

I take these games week to week and no further. Steelers go on the road next week to replay our 4th preseason opponent. A team that beat us at Heinz 10-0 without their starting QB. I'm trying to drum up as much optimism i can for a Steeler win. I'm still nursing a heart burn from Thursday night's loss.

A tip On tiebreakers from someone who's been figuring them for a while:

if you are tied with another team, to win the common opponents TB, you have to lose the tie with 'uncommon' opps
Since there are only 2 uncommon opps, it's often decided early in the season depending on schedule.

    AFC North 'uncommon' opponents:

    Pitt: @NYJ , vs KC
    Balt: @Mia, vs SD
    Cincy: @NE, vs Den
    Cle: @Buf, vs Oak

if the Steelers beat the Jets and KC, they cannot win the common opps TB, but they could tie another team with it and push things to the Conf Record TB.

    hope this wasn't confusing

Screw the science and just show up to play... Win the game and keep the guesswork out of it!

Right. It is poetry in motion. But if you don't look at it, it may not make a difference.

Right now, with 14 games left, focus should be on winning 9 or 10 of them. The rest will take care of itself.

Tiebreakers could be looked with accuracy after week 11, I guess.

I wouldn't say that the 4th preseason game had much meaning at all. How many players on the field then will be on the field this week?

She BLINDED me! However, if this team keeps forgetting how to tackle and cover and stop the run and catch and hold the ball and protect the qb and just execute in general I would say the only science we are gonna be doing is figuring out where we draft next year. I mean I know we will either draft in Chicago or LA but we will have to figure out WHERE we draft. Do you see???

OR Landry Jones turns out be our best CB once all the others have been benched or injured.

This is what Steelers playoff hopes now aspire too .... maybe we can get in if we pass the tiebreaker test. Win the division - we don't need to win the stinkin division!

Yes this is early, but in preseason I looked at our schedule and thought 12-4, no problem.... after 2 weeks, I can clearly see 8-8 if they don't wake up and start playing some football.

    Currently 1-1
    Loss to Carolina
    Win Tampa
    Win Jacksonville
    Win Cleveland
    Win Houston
    Loss Indy
    Loss Baltimore
    Win NY
    Win Tenn
    Loss New orleans
    Loss Cincy
    Loss Atlanta
    Loss KC
    Win Cincy

Potential finish 8-8. I'd like to believe that these guys are starting off slow and finish strong again, but it's soooo early to see any improvements. Schedule could just as easily swing backup to 12-4 or anywhere in between, but based on my Redzone watching of games, this is how I'm feeling right now.

If the Browns can beat the Saints then the Steelers can also. The Falcons aren't that good they can be beat, we know they can beat Baltimore, also KC isn't that good either so I disagree with your schedule breakdown.

Keep in mind that games vs NO, BAL, KC and IND will be at Heinz Field.

I still see a high posibility of a 10+W season
