I thought some people were high on this guy. He was just waived/injured (PCL/MCL) by the Packers. I think this guy is too much trouble, but he supposedly had talent. Do the Steelers attempt to make a waiver claim for the guy?

No, I don't think the steelers have ever signed a waived/injuryed player from another team.

He had tremendous upside and loved him in Oregon... But he's an a hole and the injury thing don't even need to be brought up. He's an a hole and we don't do those round here.

I lobbied for us to take a chance on this kid in the draft, but I don't think we should go after him now. If he was healthy maybe, but there is no need to sign injured players.

We have had and current have plenty of Aholes on the team. It's such a myth that we don't take gambles on those types of players, because we do.

Lyerla would be a guy worth the risk if he was healthy, but he's not, so pass.

:lolol: I was thinking the same thing.

It's no myth, it's obvious they are bringing in high character guys. Darcrav is probably right, closest to an ahole would be Pouncey. I'm not saying he is, but hes looking real shady lately.

Blount comes to mind. That guy is a dick. Sure, he was fine last year, but everyone is under Belichek. Blount was a pain in the ass in Tampa Bay, both with coaches and his teammates.

Anyway, my bigger point is we do take gambles on problematic players. Maybe not as much as the Bengals or Cowboys, but we still do.

No, wasn't talking about Big Ben. He wasn't an Ahole until he became a superstar and he seems to have settled down these days. I do think Pouncey is likely a punk with character issues, although we haven't heard about much until just recently. The type of people the Pouncey's associate with says everything IMO. You don't hang out with people like that unless you're at least somewhat like that yourself.
