if he stayed in shape, then he won't need much work.....no one else outside of ike and troy know the defense more intimately.....
he's in the perfect situation... keisel can still bring it. just not on a full time basis anymore.
the coaches had some tough decisions to make before resigning the beard.. now it's really hard

I'm glad to see him back. I'm sure he'll have a diminished role. But his energy will be very welcome.

They already have a younger version of Kiesel in Mauro. I didn't think they would sign him unless there were some injuries on the D-line. We were arguing more about Harrison than Kiesel being old and slow.

I'm betting they'll keep McCullers over Mauro.

Sometimes I think this organization does things like this just to screw with the fans.

I think they keep 6-7 D-lineman, probably 2 will go on the practice squad Nick Williams and maybe Mauro.

I wonder if Kiesel had to lower his salary demands to come back.

FWIW Ed Bouchette said the Steelers didn't sign Keisel to come back and sit on the bench and he didn't come back to do so.

    Welcome Home Brett!!!!!

What he brings cannot be measured by sacks & tackles alone.

Now I need to make adjustments to my 53 projection..........hhmmmm

I would say this means that either the young guys aren't progressing to the point Tomlin and DL are comfortable with or that the Cam Thomas as a DE experiment isn't working and they feel more comfortable with a vet like Keisel in the line-up

I think maybe this, given what steel6 said about a report about him not coming back to sit on the bench. I was never really impressed with the Thomas signing.
