Blanchflower is out today with a boot on his left foot per multiple sources. No details yet, but hopefully for him it's nothing major.

I think he was hurt coming into camp, isnt this the injury that sidelined him in college?

He had a bilateral sports hernia that sidelined him for a long time, but I'm not aware of any foot injuries.

Damn, this could be it for him, since the other guy is a blocking machine. Keep a TE on the practice squad?

High ankle sprain according to Tomlin. He said he'd be out at least a week, but I imagine it'll be quite a bit longer than that. Time will tell. Not good for Blanch, as everyday counts.

Too bad, I wanted to see what he could do, better only be a week or he won't even make the PS.

Dang it. I called this guy to be the surprise of the bunch, and have him making the PS this year at minimum. But high ankle sprains can last a long time, and if Waters keeps playing well, even Blanchflower's PS spot is in jeopardy. I hope he gets back out there soon. I want to see him in a couple games.

If waters keeps playing like this he will be the teams number 3 TE. Heck even if Blanchflower wasn't hurt waters could still habe been the teams number 3 with the impression he has made so far.

Tough break for Blanchflower, it looks like Waters is seizing his opportunity.

Yeah, tough for the guy but on the other hand with Waters this is what we've been wanting - players stepping it up for camp, taking their chances. Lets hope he can translate it on to the field, if Blanchflower really is out for a bit.
