Never actually counted but just read an article in the PG saying only 3 offensive and 3 defensive players remain from the last time we went to the playoffs. I guess Brown/Miller/Roethlisberger... Troy/Ike/???

Not all these guys were starters then, but I can think of more than 3 on each side. Ben, Foster, Pouncey, Heath, AB, Ike, Troy, Gay, Will Allen, Timmons, Worilds, Cortez Allen, McLendon and Heyward.

I think the guy was really trying to focus on the starting lineup... the only one he mentioned by name was Heath. Looking at your list I still can't recall off the top of my head who was a starter on the defensive side other than the ones I mentioned. On the o-side... that looks right... all starters IIRC

The turnover of the Steelers the past 21⁄2 years has been dramatic and nearly complete after another round of changes in 2014. Only three starters on offense and three on defense remain from the last time the Steelers appeared in a playoff game, Jan. 8, 2012.

Timmons has been a starter for a few years now so I am sure he is one.

No surprise the roster got old, turnover of the roster is a good thing for the future.

8 and 8 records and no playoffs will,
turn over a roster quickly, possibly even a
    coaching staff?
