Highlights are highlights but given that speed, running skills, and hands I'd put him behind only Watkins and Evans as a WR and probably ahead of the 2 CB's as a talent at #15. Ben may want a big WR but he ain't done bad with Brown.

I love the kid. he may be small in stature but he's built and strong. he's also never missed time on the field with injury, even in HS. he was voted the best wr in college football last year. he's the real deal and I think the steelers want that deep threat. he is that, but more. he,AB,wheaton, moore,DHB as the 5 wides and throw in moye as a tall also fast guy and they will be hard to handle by any team. heath, spaeth,cj. bell, blount, Williams. I'd put our offense against any in the league if they could pull this off.

they could do it with 1. cooks 2. CB 3. c.j. 4. Williams wouldn't break my heart in the least. all the weapons ben could want.

My thoughts on Cooks is that we already have enough midgets at WR lol, we need a redzone threat IMO.

I don't know, welker, Jackson, and eddie royal seem to do pretty good. for that matter Antonio did too. we get someone on the other side to change coverage I think he will do even better. if you are talking about fade patterns look at nfl.com. the success rate is very low. I will see if I can find the article

I think you can add a whole lot more small WR's than that. Sometimes the best redzone WR is the guy who doesn't bother to stop there on his way to the endzone.

Some fans don't get the value of skipping the redzone altogether.

I'm not interested in Cooks at all he's just a smaller faster version on Wheaton IMO, especially not drafting him at #15. They can find a better option at WR in the 2nd or 3rd, if they don't like the guys on the board at #15.

I love Cooks. He makes plays just about every time he touches the ball, and you can't ever have too many play makers on your squad in the NFL If we rolled up with AB, Wheaton, and Cooks as our top 3 it would be very scary for opposing defenses. Any time one of our WR's gets their hands on the ball, they could take it to the house. Add some Moore and DHB (Moye in the RZ maybe) and we could really have something.

Seeing all these names pop up kinda blows my mind... We are going to have a TON of options at 15 and 46 that are very good players, and we could go so many different directions with our picks. Gonna be fun to watch.

I personally have mixed feelings about the kid, not as a player and whether he can play or not, but whether he fits HERE. Again, this isn't about whether he can play or not....we KNOW he can....the question is with Brown and Wheaton and Moore already here, is he the right fit for HERE. There are only so many slip screens and slants you can run.

I could see with his speed, him filling the role which was played by Wallace, with Wheaton sliding to that Sanders role, but does that help our RZ scoring? Maybe we struggled in the RZ because we didn't have that other role?

if you ask me wr isn't the problem with the redzone struggles. we have struggled ever since we stopped being able to run the ball consistently. fix that and it wont matter who you have out there

This. An improved running game with Munch's line and Bell will help in in the red zone much more than a jump ball specialist WR.

Not if you can get a jump ball specialist WR matched against one on one coverage, then I like their chances of coming away a TD.

They go hand in hand. If they don't respect the WR, they crowd the line and you can't run. If they don't respect the RB, they ignore the line and just drop everyone in coverage. In 2010, we were 8th with 15 rushing TDs, yet were 21st in passing TDs. This year we were 9th in passing TDs, yet 25th in rushing TDs. During BOTH of those years our REDZONE offense sucked.

15th is too high to take Cooks IMO. They should only take him if they trade down. I think Ebron at TE would be a better choice at 15. Let the defenses try to cover AB, Moore, Heath, Ebron and Bell in the RZ.

Cooks is a faster version of tavon Austin and a much better rte runner. In fact he probably runs the best rtes of virtually all the WRs in this class. As much as I want us to concentrate the 1st three picks on defense if he's there at #46 we'd be stupid not to take him. After watching Tavon's success we might want to consider him at 15.

I have question. I was wondering if we draft ebron and he doesn't start and he wont. does that mean he is a bust?lol

Actually Cooks, and Austin are about the same speed wise they both ran like 4.3 at the combine. Austin struggled the beginning of his rookie season and did nothing until the end of the season. Everything Cooks did at Oregon state last season Wheaton did the year before mostly.
