I keep believing that Nix is going to be available in round 2 when we pick. I truly believe that....

I think you're right. If they're both there in the 2nd (and they both may be) which ND DL would you take: Nix or Tuitt?

Much better value at #46 in my opinion.

    DENNARD!!!!!

LOL at the Ohio State receiver at 3:35. He gave Dennard a look of disbelief with the one handed rip and pick!:lolol:

LOVE the musical score to his highlight reel. Beats the heck out of that rap crap that's on many of them!

I agree. I'd take whichever of the two was available if the other was gone by #46, but I think both will have to drop 20 lbs to be effective.

Yeah Nix over Tuitt all day at #46. But Dennard over both of them without hesitation.

My biggest problem with Nix is that I think his absolute ceiling is BJ Raji. I then question just how big of an impact has Raji had on the league. He had 1 good year they won the SB, other than, he's been pretty ordinary. There's no way you can take Nix at #15 IMO.

As for Tuitt, which guy are you getting? The 2012 version (who played on a really good defense)? Or the 2013 guy?

I still think Nix goes late 1st round. Tuitt would be an option for me at #46. He is the best 3-4 DE in the draft. If they were both there at #46, I would take Nix over Tuitt.

No to Nix. Not at 15. Not after trading down. Not in the 2nd rd. He's a NT that gets single blocked and has high bust potential.

Prolly better value in Nix over Tuitt, but I personally think, Tuitt would make more of a difference.

Which Nix do you get? The guy who was awesome against Alabama, or the guy who was invisible against mostly single blocking in some other games? I'd pass at #15, and consider him at #46. However, I think there will be better value at #46 in the form of players who help us on 3rd down on either side of the ball (including Tuitt). If Nix's tape was consistently like the Alabama game, I think you could argue to take him pretty early because he'd consistently help us get to 3rd and long, but I don't see it. One great game and a handful of good plays here and there don't do it for me.

Tuitt is a solid player, and I think he projects as more of an impact player at the NFL level than Nix does. The reason is that Tuitt has the ability to play 3 downs. He can play the 5 tech in our base defense, and get a decent pass rush inside on passing downs.

Too many holes to fill to justify taking a player early that would only see the field for 1/3 of the defensive snaps.

Nix wont get past SD at 25......It might be a reach at 15 for this kid. But he will not be there for us in Rd 2. We need a Hampton like NT in this 3-4.....I say reach!!!

Taking chances and gambling. Sometimes they work sometimes they dont.

I would gamble on this Nix kid. Solid NT for years to come. IMHO
