I'm a very busy guy lately, and I've been living in the Black Hills for the past 8 years, and I don't spend much time on the internet.

Steeler fans seem overly concerned about James Harrison, which makes me think that Stiller fans have given up on Jarvis Jones.

Last I heard was that he broke a wrist, which would seem like a year-ender, and hardly a reason to give up on him.

Sorry if there is no issue with JJ, but I don't have time to research and draw conclusions.

Is JJ thumbs up or down?

Not trying to be a smart azz at all ,but type him in on a search here. There has been plenty of negative and positive posted about him.

I thought it would be quicker and more enlightening to post a thread.
I get about an hour on the net, about once a week or so. No time to spend and hour searching and reading.
    Busy Busy Busy.

I have my doubts. His body of work so far is somewhat limited, but the negative outweighs the positive based on what I've seen. I'm not giving up on him but one thing's for sure; this year is absolutely critical in determining whether or not JJ is going to be the special player they expected him to be when they drafted him, or just a warm body and somewhat capable backup and spot starter.

If Jones was a pass rusher he would have showed it by now. All the best pass rushers have produced within their first two years of starting.

That comparison seems a good one at this point. I think Jones has a higher ceiling than Haggans did, but we'll see how he comes into camp.

Timmons didn't start off here like a house of fire and turned into a good LB for us. time will tell. he's working out with our other LB'ers who are looking quite strong , so I hope some of that has rubbed off.

IMO JJ has yet adapted to the NFL, as to his physically he will continue to struggle trying to stay accident free in his current position. I'll try to stay optimistic for the coming season though in all honesty, i don't think he will be making much noise.

    :lolol: minor detail.

I'm predicting 10 sacks for JJ this year.

Admittedly I wanted to say 8 but I threw in 2 more hopeful ones. And yes, you'd like more than 8 in your 3rd year but unfortunately, he had a bad setback.

I liked what I saw out of Jarvis Jones last pre-season, I liked what I saw in the 1st 3 reg. season games before he hurt his wrist.

That being said this is a boom or bust year for Jarvis Jones.

I'd be willing to bet a straw house against your penny that he hits 10.

The thing that sticks out to me about him is, at training camp last year, he was getting pushed around big time by the TE's. Now, by the end of training camp, he icing his groin so maybe he was injured while he was getting pushed around. I'm not sure of the timing of the injury.
