He's been released by the 49ers. Can he help us? He was college teamates with Decastro, maybe he could succeed here? Former second round pick who was even projected as a possible first. Any interest?

He's just too soft. And he would make our entire OL more soft. I am not saying this because he got bullied and did nothing about other than "tell on" the bully; I say this because he PLAYS soft.

It would really be interesting if Rex Ryan would sign Martin reuniting him with Incognito in Buffalo. :lolol:

If he were an upgrade over the two dummy's we got in Gilbeat and adams then yeah... But yeah he's soft... I'll take dumb over soft any day and still believe our 2 dummies can be coached up into something if there willing.

I think Gilbert has progressed nicely. He has gotten better every year.

Really though, this is a horrible idea. Even if he was any good he would inevitably clash with Pouncey, since he was part of the group that hung out with his brother.

I'm against bullying, plain and simple. But, if you can't grow a set and stand up to somebody, and tell it to stop and be a man, I don't really have to much time for that. Plus it made a freaking media fiasco for the dolphins.

Incognito is your classic bully. Martin is a 6-5, 300 lb man. If he stood up to RC, it would have stopped. Bullies only get worse when their targets don't stand up to them. Go ahead and show you will scrap, even if you don't win, but you will fight back, and bullies stop, once they know they are gonna be in for some scrapes and bruises themselves. Look what a total dooshe this guy is.

Maybe you're right about this example of bullying, as Johnathan Martin is an adult but bullying is so much more than that these days, with social media, its not just during school anymore, its a 24/7 ordeal and why you read stories about 14 year old girls hanging themselves in their bedrooms. The old logic of just punch a bully in the nose doesn't apply anymore, especially since alot of it is group bullying now. I despise bullies.

I agree with you on the social media point. But in this particular scenario, what lloyd said is true in my opinion. One punch across the jaw, and Incognito would've known to not screw around with him anymore. Once Martin showed a weakness, Incognito was like a dog in heat...which is exactly what fuels a bully, an imbalance of power over another

incognito is an azz. thats the only way he's gotten along was to make someone else look inferior. he thinks that makes him a mans man. i think pouncey is the biggest fake of them all and buddied up with the bully so he wasn't next in line. thats my take on it.

Well the crazy is with the crazy in Buffalo. Some complain about some players on our offensive line now. Martin is a mental midget. Stand up for yourself!

Bullying to me is not reserved for NFL players. Sorry.

So, I agree that all of the evidence points to Incognito being a bully and dirt bag, and I agree that bullying is an awful thing and has no place anywhere in a civilized society. I wouldn't want a guy like Incognito on my roster. That said, I also wouldn't want Martin on my NFL roster. For an average person, his response to the bullying is understandable. However, an NFL lineman needs to have some serious alpha male in him. Martin's play on the field is visibly soft for a 325 lb. man, and the situation in Miami kind of confirms that lack of an alpha mean streak that a guy needs to be an NFL lineman. I wouldn't want either player, even at the vet minimum.

I definitely agree with what you're saying about the mindset a lineman needs to have!

I don't things are as simple as "stand up for yourself".
    This was a workplace situation.
At the least, management (coaches and owners) were going to support the veteran over a new player. At the most, they could have been encouraging Incognito's behavior. "Standing up for himself" probably would have gotten him fired and blacklisted from other teams for starting fights.
