The Steelers have cut Lance Moore. The move clears $1.5 Mil in cap space. It adds $322,500 in dead money for 2015.

Good insurance policy to have last year, just didn't need him after the way the WR's unit rounded into shape.

Agreed, gave us depth last year, when we weren't sure what we had; does not make sense this year as he won't see many balls at a #4 WR. We can draft for that or even sign an UFA. Not only that, but with Bell soaking in so many grabs, it reduces a #4 WR even more.

No way would I have cut this guy. I would have made him sit the bench until he he couldn;t take it anymore and then found a way to deactivate him.....or trade him to the Browns.

Look at our depth at DE... All we have behind Tuitt and Heyward is Kiesel (who just had surgery), Ethan Hemer who was on the PS, and Cam. I'd assume when we have a clearer picture of what our depth is going to be, then we will cut him. We don't have to do that just yet.

But an empty roster spot is better than Thomas.

It is too bad that he wasn't able to generate that chemistry with Ben early in the season. I think Moore really could have been that go to guy that was missing when Cotchery left. I think he has done things the right way and carried himself with pride and dignity. He knew that his place on the team was going to have little to no impact and realized that asking for his release freed up money on a team that was up against the cap while allowing him to find a team that would need his services. i hope he catches on with a team and has a productive year. Can't ask for a FA to carry himself better than Moore did.

No news here . As soon as he asked to be released it was just a matter of when . Ed must have missed the news . I think DHB will have a nice 2nd. career and end that career here with the Steelers.

A good cheap vet at the WR spot who is a great locker room guy plays ST'S and knows all the WR spots and is a better than average blocker and still one of the fastest players in the NFL . I see no way that the Team doesn't take advantage of that situation.

Lol! Sad but true. And an empty roster spot doesn't get pushed 10 yards back into its own endzone.

Absolutely! I am sick of these players signing a contract and then wanting out of it as soon as things don't go their way.

Looking forward to your tirade against Colbert and MT when he's released :lolol:

I understand the intangibles he brings to the team but his production was woeful. They have fast guys on the PS that will cost even less that they can bring up if production isn't of any value, they certainly can't fare any worse in that regard.

I think its far from a certainty that DHB is brought back.
