We will do our homework... If his off the field stuff checks out, and we think he can be a good teammate then hell yes. If we think he's gonna be a big headache, then pass him up. I trust the FO here. We haven't had too many guys with serious off the field issues in the league

Isn't he the guy that supposedly choked one of the assistant coaches?

Lets hope our vetting process is better than what it has been in the past.

I only watched on game of his on YouTube but I thought he looked like crap. Not what I want on my team, especially not from a defensive player in the NFL. It looked as if he had the mentality of a Deion Sanders without the skills. If we take him in the 1st I'll be .

Possibly the most talented corner in the draft. Team interviews will be crucial. Would he appreciate the fact that a team took a chance on him in the first, or would he feel entitled, like his actions had no consequences? That said, he's there in the second, jump on his arse.

Should be a solid CB he can play man or zone , if he is ready mentally then pull the trigger .

We really need to hit a home run on our first defensive pick in the draft. I just don't see a troubled player like Peters being the way to go. As talented as he is, its like taking a chance on drafting Odighizuwa and his bad hip. One's medical, one's mental. 3rd round or later I would be fine with some risk taking. The defensive side just isn't there yet depthwise to not go with a safer pick imo.

    Although he has less experience
    I would prefer
    Quinton Rollins

I would take him in a heartbeat. I am tired of avoiding this type of guys, just to see them go to New England or Seattle and go to the Super Bowl. If our coaching staff can't handle them like Bellichik, the problem is IN the coaching staff. He would be a great add in my opinion.

It was rumored the season b4 Wallace became a FA, , Wallace was causing all kinds of problems in the locker room. And Tomlin continued to play him.. not once setting him, in favor of sanders. which in prt was one of the reasons we finished 8-8 that year IMO

So you don't like how he handled either of those, even though he handled them in practically opposite ways?

-Wallace gripes about his contract before the season, Tomlin plays him, then Wallace leaves when his contract is up.
-Blount throws a hissy fit and walks off the field, Tomlin cuts him the next day.

In both cases, I assume he had words with them behind closed doors, but let's not put that in the "action" category. So I suppose the other option is to bench the guys. Which of those two guys, Wallace and Blount, would that have gone over well with?? That would have been multiplying the problems he had. I don't see how you can disapprove of both courses of action... Unless your idea is to switch them, by playing Blount and cutting Wallace.

maybe we should have made a trade with NE for blount, made him inactive or something different in hindsight. he ended up getting rewarded for our loss. that wasn't up to MT though, but rather KC I guess.

Why coudnt he have cut Wallace, get the Cancer out of the LR?? and yea he could have played Blount, 6-7 carries a game wasnt gona hurt anything. and we might have made it further in the PO instead of getting our ass whipped..

Wallace was a cancer that needed cut out, and Blount wasn't? Wallace never once did anything as bad as what Blount did, and he was a much bigger part of the team.
