Wouldn't be ruined for me but It would really put a damper on things knowing it's going to be a longshot to get in if we don't win this game on Sunday. It's been two years since we made the playoffs can't endure another draft another training camp another preseason then regular season just to hope to get back again

I will be at Maho Beach in St. Maarten Christmas Day watching commercial airliners fly 30' over my head on final approach...I will not have a care in the world!

And lets be real...if we lost to KC this weekend, do you honestly think the players are going to be giving two $hits on Christmas Day?!

I'd be super pissed, but it would have no bearing on how i view christmas. Christmas means one thing, and one thing only to me, and it has nothing to do with the Steelers!

Nope because if we lose to Kansas City who incidentally has not thrown a WR TD all year then we still have a chance to make playoffs with a win against Cinnci

It has finally occurred to me that this thread is a clever spin that is actually saying "Christmas Will Mean Nothing If We Don't Beat The Chiefs." LOL!

    It will ruin my Monday.

What's going to ruin my Christmas is the mailbox after the holiday

Since the merger, the Steelers' record on the the week of or just prior to Christmas:

    17-22*

*the Steelers did not always play that week. In some seasons, when they missed the playoffs, their season was over by that point. In others, that weekend was the wild card game, and the Steelers had a bye. Of all of the the pre-Christmas games, by far the most famous is you know what.

My Christmas will be just fine but I live near KC and the Chief fans would do their best to be a constant irritant until next season so that would suck. Thankfully my Steelers will not allow that to happen so all is good. :)

Is that completely fair for you to even comment on this? Hopefully this and Easter are your busiest times at work.

By the way... I hope this doesn't come across as dis-respect. Not everyone gets my humor, and you are one person who's profession can be respected!

To answer the top question-- No way would an NFL game take away the focus of Christmas nor ever darken my door at such a time of year.
but a win does help the cheerfulness!
