Man I really don't want a cowgirl to break this record. Murray is really good but I still like Bell better though.

 

Bell has 691 yards rushing yards and 1086 total yards through 8 games. If he keeps the current pace he will be ranked 5th all-time for Steelers single season rushing.

With Romo's health, Murray should get more touches and surpass Dickerson handily. Gotta love the 16 game season! When Godell gets his way and it becomes an 18 game season, all the records will fall!

 

They should put an asterisk beside the ones that don't break the records within the amount of time in which it was set. Or just say it is the all time record "for a 16 game season".

Murray's only weakness is 3 fumbles this season so far. Dickerson had a whopping 14 fumbles during his 1984 record season so Murray should top that as well.

 

Murray is accident prone, with all these touches he is getting i look for him to miss a few games this season.. So no i dnt think he will break the record..

 

O.J. was the first to do it with 2003 yards in 1973............a 14 game season.

 

Great point. Jim Brown's 6.4 yard average in 1963 is still the highest of the top 30 RB's.
