I'm pretty sure that figure is low. Woodley's dead money hit is 8 million alone.

From looking at the figures across the years, I'm guessing that the figures for 2015 are going to change pretty drastically from what's printed there. In 2014 the average seems to be around 10mil (just from a glance); it's much lower for 2015, and for 2016 nearly all teams have 0 - because, obviously, the contracts are yet to be ended/worked out/traded etc.

So while dead money will be an issue for us, I don't think that list is an accurate representation of what it will be like come the start of next season.

The cap thing can get confusing for me. One that stood out was the 2015 cap for the Saints
    (-$19,127,065).

I presume that means that, as things stand now, they will be over the cap by nearly 20m. So some cuts to be made next off-season. Hey, maybe we can get Keenan Lewis back?

Troy counts $8.25 million toward the cap next year. Can somebody explain: when a player retires, is there only a percentage that their cap hit counts, or would it be the same whether the player was cut or retired?

That is A LOT of damn money when you have 53 guys to pay...and your QB's hit is around $20...ouch

Edit: holy ****....Brees counts $26.4 next year...wow. Well, atleast he'll be able to "feed his kids..." Thank God for that
