    1. They shouldn't, even know Bortles makes me a little nervous, rookie QB's do terrible when facing DL for the first time.

No, you are right. On paper this looks good but I'm confident they are overlooking Jax. It's the standard.

I said it last season. DL's rookie hazing party doesn't mean jack to me anymore. And then Terrell Pryor happened! Blaine Gabbert, Painter, Locker the list goes on with these young QB's (rooks or highly inexperienced)
giving us fits win or lose. Nothing is a gimme anymore with this D time to dispel the notion.

There will be some tough love from Tomlin this week.
I see a prepared and focused group this week!

Ah, gotcha. They better not be overlooking anyone after last week.

Actually it does. Rookies are 17-2 against a DL led defense. 22 INTs and given up only 10 TDs.

I don't think they will overlook Jax after what happened in the loss to the Bucs. I expect the offense to have a big day not sure about the defense.

I think we'll be fine this week. The sting of the loss to Tampa will be too fresh for complacency and cockiness to sabotage the game this week. However, the Cleveland game is the game that I'll be looking at as a barometer for whether the team is starting to "get it" that you have be at your best every week, because on any given Sunday....

Blast, try not to fall out of your chair but I've got a hypothesis I want to run by you, and it was this post that prompted it. I've commented before, and you'll corroborate this, that I can envision a scenario in which Todd Haley becomes the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers and this post touches on EXACTLY the scenario I was envisioning. Consider this. The offense continues to perform week in and week out but the team continues to struggle and persists in losing games they should win. The team continues to reflect a lack of discipline on and off the field and Tomlin doesn't seem to have the respect of the team. The Rooneys and Haleys are a tight knit bunch and there is ALOT of history between those two families. The Rooneys decide to turn the reins over to Todd Haley because the only unit that's performing is the offense and they've watched Todd grow up since he was knee high to a grasshopper running around in the locker room among the likes of Mean Joe Green and Terry Bradshaw!

What do you think? Realistic? :smiley1:

lol, manage to remain in my seat. Don't know if its realistic or not (wouldn't happen for another couple seasons if it does at all IMO) but it would be a terrible mistake. If they fire Tomlin, please bring in someone other then Haley.

    A couple of seasons ???
Unless they got recently re-signed, I'm pretty sure that both Tomlin's and Cobert's contracts are up in the summer of 2016 ... thank goodness !!!

I find it hard to believe that they would name Haley the HC. Munchak I could see as a possibility

But ya said ... "wouldn't happen for another couple seasons if it does at all IMO" ... to me that's a couple of season after this one. :lolol:

If they lay a few more eggs like this past Sunday, it might be sooner rather than later. ;)

Plus I read Tomlin is actually bringing in NFL officiating for this weeks practices. Personally I think this is kind of idiotic but if it gets the job done and helps discipline this team then I am all for it
