2016, Steelers had both Bell and Brown healthy. And I would credit Todd Haley more for that year's success than Popcorn.
 *patiently awaits response from STD*
Maddox was QB in 2003.
Popcorn's specialty and background was defense. And the defense was never anywhere near elite again after 2011. After Cowher's players retired....
We are doomed.
Steelers need to go offense heavy, IMO. Unless there is a CB or DT that is too good to pass up in first round. I would not object to either....
Would totally take a RB. We haven't had a total badass at RB since Bell. Warren and Dowdle would provide good depth.
Hell no. Roethlisberger was in decline after 2019 and elbow injury... but a better head coach would have netted better results in 2020 and 2021...
Yeah, but I do like that this year's draft is in Pittsburgh.
Many of those Dolphins home game wins happened in November and December... and yeah it can get warm in those months in southern Florida, but not...
Patriots lost to the Dolphins in the primes of their dynasties when Dolphins were horrible and didn't have a QB like Cam Newton. Explain that...
Yes
No, Belichick had the Steelers' number.... so did Brady. It was game plan more than luck. A recurring trend over time is evident in the stats....
Luck.. not Andrew, had a lot to do with Newton, Vrabel and McVey. Same thing with Jake Plummer going 3-0 vs Belichick/Brady.
Steelers win that game without the Special Teams mishaps/penalties.
I'm right about Steelers switching to 4-3 after losing SBXLV. We'd have at least 1 more Lombardi in the trophy case.
Then why did Ravens compete better vs Patriots? We could beat the Ravens... but could not compete with and was blown out by Patriots in the '10...
I watched that football game in 2001 and it was Special Teams errors that killed Steelers.
I'd rather Steelers go 6-11... get a good top 10 draft pick the following year, than go 10-7... squeak into the playoffs, get wiped out... then...
I agree with your point regarding 2 safeties deep. Absolutely that should be an option for the former Raiders DC this year with Steelers. But...
