The problem with throwing the ball in that situation is what almost happened, the game could end with a pick.
I never feel a game is tainted by the penalty calls, win or lose. To me, it all balances out over the course of a season. I didn't see any calls...
It also allows the defense to calm down and regroup.
The Jags were down by 20 and it was the 3rd quarter. Close though.;+)
True, it happens all the time, in hockey and baseball. Please give me an example of a veteran NFL QB getting benched at halftime in a 9 point game.
When was he ever benched before?
Tomlin with a time out to spare!
That's why you don't pull the 15 year starter in a 9 point game with a half to go.
He's saving them for the press conference.
It's been ugly top to bottom. I blame Tomlin.:sneak:
Ben didn't give up what will probably be 200 yards to Fournette. Just sayin....
I was thinking "at least a FG please".
Refs are driving!
Genius penalty acceptance!
Do yourself a favor and turn it off. ;+)
I couldn't agree more, but he's not getting benched. Anyone remember the back to back 6 TD pass games followed by an awful game/loss to the 1 win...
Down by 2 scores with a half to play, bench the 15 year starter for a guy with 1 snap under his belt. Hmmm...
BURN THE PING PONG TABLE!!!
There is a third choice...
Only down 9 (unless ben throws a pick6 here), not as bad as it should be.
