I think what he saying is that Cam gets a pass for not doing well in the playoffs yet Tomlin doesn’t.

i know what he's saying but it has nothing to do with the premise of the thread. heck cowher and noll took flack for not winning it all every year. noll in his last few years took a lot after winning 4 of them. never once did jack lamberts (for instance) play come into question during those days. one is a player and one is a coach. quite different accountabilities.

Depends how you define it. There's so many guys that are steeler greats over him. Its hard to really say. He's a fan favorite and everything but idk if I'd go to steeler great.

You have mean Joe, Jack ham, lambert, lc greenwood, Blount, Franco, Bradshaw, Donnie shell, Mike Webster, swann, stallworth, Rod Woodson, Kevin Green, Leroy glover, big Ben, Troy, Harrison,AB, Bettis, Faneca, Carnell lake, Hines ward, Alan Faneca, Dawson, etc..

Idk if Heyward is in that category.

You can dislike him all you want but he's clearly a steelers great. Hes an NFL great as well. You can't tell the 100 plus year of the nfl story without a guy who had the best 6 year stretch in nfl history for a wide receiver and was the arguable best wr of the 2010s decade.

I thought I knew Steeler history pretty good but who is Leroy Glover? There was a LaRoi Glover who played for the Cowboys and Saints back in the 90's but I can't think of a Steeler named Leroy Glover.

Ok first of all fried baloney and a fried egg is a HOF sandwich.

Cam is a great player and is freakishly strong , seem's to be gaining old man strength the longer he plays. You have to try and focus on him to really appreciate what he does.
He is also a great team leader and plays to the whistle on every play. I can't knock him in any way and I love watching him play. One of my fav current Steelers.

I am old enough to have watched Mean Joe play and he was a beast who could dominate a line of scrimmage , you didn t have to look for him he stood out on almost every other play.
I don't quote stats the game is different now. Its hard to rack up sacks when few teams threw the ball more than 20-25 times a game back in Joe's era.
If your old enough or talk to someone who is and you ask who is the greatest running back to ever play the answer is almost always Jim Brown. Best WR Jerry Rice.
There have been a ton of great RB's and WR but those two almost own the title of best ever.
Best defensive tackle ever Mean Joe , there is Joe then everyone else regardless of stats.

Cam is a great player but Joe was a game changer, not a knock against Cam but there have been a lot who are his equal over the last 50 years but few if any as good as Joe.

Wrong place at the wrong time. He'd be a HOF'er if he had a couple rings. He's at least the level of Aaron Smith who really was over shadowed on some great defenses even though he was one of the best DT's I've ever seen. People out side of pittsrbugh have no idea who he was. Put Cam on that D-line of Hampton and Smith and we probably have another Lombardi. Besides the biggest problem for him being we run a 3-4. Without the sacks you're just a guy.

    A. Smith was one of the most under appreciate DE in the NFL (outside of Steelers fans, and even some of them). Without Him ...our LBs would have not been nearly what they were.

I loved watching Smith work. He was a fantastic player, but no, he was not as good as Heyward. Heyward does everything Smith did, but he is a better pass rusher.

He's not on the level of Joe Greene, but he's better than the rest of the guys in the Steel Curtain.
