This is what ESPN has as the Falcons current Depth chart.

    No idea who Feleipe is?

It also says the Falcons were able to push back his roster bonus that was due last week until today to make this trade. No idea how a team can change a roster bonus date?

Did the Falcons get someone else at QB that ESPN does not know about?

Apparently Ryan agreed to.movevthe bonus until because he knew the team was in the Watson hunt and were likely going to trade him.

They also picked up half of his 48 million cap hit this year.

They're tanking. They got mariota but they're not going anywhere with him. This is what you do when you can't get a franchise qb. You tank and get the highest pick possible. Not try to get a stop gap that does just enough but you know he never really will take you to the next level.

Sucks to be Marcus in Atlanta. I wonder if the rest of the players on the team have a green light to seek trades with other teams?

I still believe Mariota could have thrived here in Pittsburgh running Canada's offense.

That’s who I wanted. Hopefully the Steelers chose wisely. I know some of the reasons they went with Trubisky, high character guy, players love him and he puts the work in and will never point the finger elsewhere.

And his resume is better than he is getting credit for. I’m low key excited to see what he does this season.

Where are you getting this cap hit thing. What I'm seeing is they have a $40 million dead money charge this year.

I think it was on Cowherd today when it was announced. The insiders of course do not always have all the details. Their cap hit is of course separate from his salary, even if they picked up a portion of this year's salary the hit may be more because of previous actions, such as a restructure. His hit this year was supposed to be around 48 million I believe, so they ate a lot of that. My mistake, instead of half his cap hit I should have said half his salary.
