They have Case Keenum. He’s an adult.

:D Yeah, I wouldn't go there either. All of those southern NFC teams make way more sense.

Cle still owes Baker $19M one way or the other (I think) so things could settle down and he could stay. Who would want him?

QB carousel is still spinning. Colts, teams who don't get DW, Houston, maybe Cle. Jimmy, Marcus, and Jameis still out there. Fun times.

Browns should have built a comfy dome like the Viqueens and the Lionesses. Maybe more free agents would be interested.

I think the dumpster fire that is the Brown organization in general is more of a factor than the weather but could be right some guys just can't handle the cold or temps below 50 F

Culture is everything. May have all of the talent in the world on the field but they just don't have a culture to support.

Well the best outcome would've been Cleveland shelling out 30+ million a year for Baker only for him to suck and the Browns be stuck with him LMAO... this is a close second ;)

I bet Baker regrets not taking that long term deal he was talking to the Browns about that he felt "wasn't enough money per year". Either way, I expect Baker to whine like a baby and the Browns to drag him through the mud on the way out. Are they on the Garoppolo train now? Do they sign a Taylor/Bridgewater/Mariota?Winston guy? Or do they go back to the draft where they are sure to (again) fail miserably? Lots of options... are any of them good?

This has always been who Baker is though. He's a front-runner, or what is known as a chest-puffer. Gonna talk smack and walk around like a boss when things are good, then shell up, whine, and deflect when its not. He's shown himself to be classless in victory (flag planting and nut-grabbing) and whiny in defeat. Its easy to root against a guy like that, and there are probably a lot of people (not just fans) that are happy to see him fail. I know I am. Its sad though at the end of the day... He just doesn't have the mentality to cut it in the NFL as a starter. Lots of talent, but derailed by the 6 inches between his ears.

If the Browns were smart they would convince Ben to come out of retirement and play a year for them. If they offer him $30 million I don't see how he could say no.

...and yet hes still been way more successful then anyone the Steelers have on their current staff or the Browns have on theirs.

They can also trade for Jimmy G. He is an adult also!! He also throws INTs at the most inopportune moments.... just like Baker!!

    A matchmade in heaven!! :drinks:

I am still trying to figure out in why some thought he would be. Unless Myles Garrett was not included in the trade package, Deshaun likely was not going as Garrett was going to be apart of that deal; Denzel Ward not being ruled out here either. Even if one of them were dealt as opposed to the other, do not forget the draft capital the Browns would have had to give up to nab Watson.

When that would have been all said and done... what would Watson be left with?!?! More or less what he had in Houston; Myles Garrett included. A lot of nothing for a lot of nothing.... well... nothing in terms of current Offensive Build minus the ground game. There is also those allegations to factor in as well.

Exactly, Buffalo is not a FA paradise. Yet they snagged a couple of good FA this year, arguably the worst stadium in pro football.

This is what @KnoxVegasSteel alluded to years ago regarding the Browns. So long as Jimmy Haslam is at the helm, the Browns will continue to be the Browns. Nothing more... nothing less.

Well... Knox forgot one aspect about the Browns...

Trade them Mason Rudolph for a couple of Cedar Point season tickets. They don't even have to be fast passes.

Exception granted. But Rich Stadium or whatever it's called now is a motel 6 compared to most nfl stadiums.

I know its probably a beaten horse at this point, but is he though? Losing career record as a starter (Trubisky winning record, Baker losing record but better than Kap), 4.3% worse career completion percentage than Trubisky (1.8% worse than Baker) , better career TD to INT ratio than Trubisky and Baker.

If you're only looking at his half season in 2012 and full 2013 season, then yes, he WAS better than anyone on either Cleveland or Pittsburgh's current roster. The final 3 years of his career? Not so much. He flashed in the pan then lost his starting job to Blaine Gabbert due to performance. Then his career took the activist turn. He got his starting job back after Gabbert inevitably sucked and went 1-5, but Kap performed even worse going 1-10 and posted a QBR a full 11 points lower than Gabbert did earlier that season. A guy who performs worse than Blaine Gabbert at QB isn't going to be an NFL QB . He has a worse record, completion percentage, and yards per start than Mason Rudolph the final 3 years of his career. Tells you all you need to know. He went from stud to worse than Mason Rudolph. Yikes. Maybe just because he has been to a Super Bowl as a starter, you mean that makes him more successful? Trent Dilfer isn't a better QB than Dan Marino bc he was 5-1 as a post season starter and won a Super Bowl, while Marino was 8-10 in the playoffs and never won it all.

It's a Tommy Maddox long shot that Kapernick can take nearly 6 years off of competitive football and come back better than anyone on either the Steelers or Browns roster (let alone as good as he was in 2016 as a 1-10 QB or the season and a half tear he started a decade ago in the 2012 season). Will a team get desperate enough at QB to give him a shot? Who knows.
