We just had a season of the least mobile QB and the worst oline in football, almost anything is an upgrade.

 

We heard all this hype about the Browns signing Clowney last year, how did that work out for them ?

Winovich has been in the league 3 years and has only started 9 of the 45 games he's played. Only recorded 11 career sacks. He's far worse than Clowney (and I think Clowney is vastly overrated). The Browns just traded for a OLB who is likely a career back up and an inconsistent WR who only has one career season with more yards than Diontae Johnson just went for this year (beat him by 28 yards in 2019)... oh and they are paying him 20 million a year lol

Neither of these signings make me nervous about playing the Browns

 

Ben may not have been mobile but he lead the league in getting the ball off quickly. Our sacks and QB fumbles will probably go up next year, even with the improvements .

I was excited until I realized it was just resigning Chuks. I was hoping for someone better, as a RT I just don't see much movement from Chuks in the run game.

It's strange how some "fans" who are so loyal, talk-up the other teams in the division...

 

Not a fan here either. Not sure of the contract, but I think theybfelt they had to keep a warm body at a spot.

He's average at best and that is being nice. Personally I think he's a backup

 

The way I see it: Until Banner is officially cut, Chuks is the backup RT.

 

did i say anything about them being superior to us? it's all a matter of what we will have to face every year. is that a problem? why does every time someone says something or voice a concern or make a statement about us or our division teams that is is a negative about our team only? this is a forum to discuss things about this very process. not everything discussed means we or i am saying it's a failure or we didn't do the right thing. jezusss people get a friggin grip. where you from tazz and how long have you been a fan of this team and how much skin do you have in the game?

BTW, If you are a fan... You are not a player, or a member of the front office, so there is no "we" or "us..." Fortunately for you, Steeler Nation is very tolerant, there is no regional requirement, nor is there a length-of-time requirement for being a fan....

 

Am I the only one who finds the juxtaposition of "loyal" and admitting other teams have talent on a "Steelersfans" page strange?? To pretend I said other teams suck just because they are rivals in an NFL chatroom would be kiddyish, but this is literally a page for Steelersfans... It's kinda right there in the name....

 

See?? This is exactly why I don't understand bringing them up... If Burfict is brought up in relation to a Steeler player, AB, for example, he made an illegal play, so he sucks... If he's referred-to as a player in a vacuum, he's a decent player... But the league is full of "decent players..." Fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers are not required to bring every one up... You start doing that, you end up saying Burrows is good, but he's no Boomer Esiason... Yeah but Boomer had Chad Ochocinqo.... then BOOM, you have a Bungles' page...
