    True. Im assuming....or hoping maybe.
If it's two years and $60M that would change things just a bit lol

Mason is awful so adding anyone to possibly beat him out this year isn’t the worst idea. That being said I’m not sure how much better Trubisky is if at all. Mason has been in the system as well which could help him.

I’d have no problem if they release or trade both Rudolph and Haskins and use the QB they draft this year as the backup to Trubisky. I think the sooner they move on from Rudolph the better. Why have him here now with him knowing the Steelers have no faith in him what so ever.

I like it. It'll be cheap and we keep our draft picks. So we can go after improving our offensive line. As well as CB, ILB. And then if a QB falls to us in the draft we take them.

I’d rather get Brissett or Taylor to back up Trubisky and jettison both Rudolph and Haskins.

I don't dislike the signing, its very short term and I still don't think its a signing that would prevent them from taking a rookie QB should one they like fall to them.

Lets not forget Bears made the playoffs with Mitch with Matt Nagy as coach.

He may fail. Sure. I also believe he was put in a really bad situation in Chicago and still managed to produce. A year off, learning in the Bills org behind Josh Allen, could be exactly what he needed. Physically, it's all there; big, tough, strong arm, mobile. Bills FO said glowing things about how he worked and never made excuses. I can't remember a better second chance guy. If it doesn't work, eh, he's replacing Mason. If it does work, we have our QB for 10-12 years and it didn't cost draft capital or much money. They still have picks and dollars to fill some holes and put a really good team on the field this year. I complain about AR and Tomlin when I see fit but I'll damn sure give them credit when I believe it's due. I love this signing.

Trusbisky is 29-21 as a starter in the NFL. He threw 64 touchdowns and 37 interceptions with the Bears during his four-year span. He was also named to the 2018 Pro Bowl. With Nagy and that mess, as a young kid, I think that shows a lot.

I'm sure. Trubisky is better. He is more mobile. He has a better arm. He has more experience. His numbers were better when he started for the Bears than what Rudolph had in 2019 for the Steelers, which isn't saying much, as both a passer and runner.

I think it depends on how much they really like those guys.

I think this means it’s extremely unlikely the Steelers trade up to draft a QB, which is a good thing. It also makes it more likely they draft OL instead of QB, which may also be good. But if they love Willis or Pickett and one of them falls to 20, they could still draft them.

Worst case scenario is he doesn't play well and the Steelers get to pick there next franchise QB in 2023.

What a terrible signing. Trubisky is a back up at best.

We should just have went with Mason, take our lumps and finish with a losing record ... and then draft our Franchise QB next year.

Cut Mason and Haskin. Keep Dobbs. There’s not much of a drop off if any. Let Mason and Haskin try to latch on somewhere else to see if they can succeed

Exactly I would consider going 1step further in trading #20 for a 2023 first round pick and a 2022 second round pick the depth of this draft is incredible. I think there are several 2 nd and 3rd round picks worth risking # 20

Not trolling, but we'll see. Rudolph has been in the system since 2018. Trubisky has to learn the playbook.

Mitch signing could lead to JuJu wanting to come back...they are close friends ever since they trained together for the draft

That's fine because the current offensive playbook is a leaflet.
