If Mason Rudolph is the answer at QB, you are asking wrong question

He sucked so bad this year , he could not beat the Lions at home on a soggy field. Now he will play the Bengals and Ravens and Browns. AHG. If he is starter, season ticketholders should sell their tickets .

You aren’t getting anywhere close to the Super Bowl in the AFC in the near future without a franchise QB and Mason Rudolph ain’t that. Especially when you have talent like Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, and Herbert leading the way. You gotta draft one and I think a guy like Kenny Pickett has a chance to be that or you gotta go trade for one because right now that guy is not on the roster and until he is this Steelers team isn’t getting anywhere near a Super Bowl.

If Pickett falls to us then draft him. Don’t mortgage the future for him, however. Personally, I did not agree with his decision to skip the Peach Bowl. I know why he did it, but there were over 100 other players who busted their azz all season and he let them down. What does that say for his character and how he will lead a team of seasoned professionals?

Be curios to see how many players opt out of drills at the NFL Scouting Combine this year.

I don't really love any qbs in the draft this year.

I hope we don't draft one, just to draft one. They better be sure.

Unless they have an injury, or are all-world already, non-participation would be silly.

The Ravens sucked so bad, they had to rely on a FG longer than the previous NFL record to avoid losing to the Lions.
The Cardinals sucked so bad, that despite being 10-4 at the time, lost to the Lions by more than 2 scores.

I think the Steelers being -3 in turnover margin had a lot more to do with the result than just MR alone.

Harris had a pretty good rushing game that day.
If MR sucked so bad, the Lions would have committed more players to stopping the run.

    Actually, Welcome to Agent Persuasion.

He plays in Peach Bowl, blows out a knee, dislocates his shoulder or God forbid gets carted off with long term affects then say goodbye to his meal ticket. These days it's a difference between very very wealthy and just wealthy. Sucks but that's the world we live in these days.

On a positive note, maybe he drops to us from teams thinking a lack of desire to play.

If we don't get Pickett, then I roll with Rudolph. I don't like any other options out there. Rodgers maybe but it would be very expensive.

If it fell to 2-15 next season it would be terrible but to be drafting #1 over all it would be very welcoming at probably the perfect time.

They'd probably end up drafting a fullback just to dress him on game days though.

He’s watching the Peach Bowl at home, slips in the kitchen and blows out his knee . . .

I have no problem with that happening next season...the bigger issue is will fans be understanding enough to be rational about what's happening and be able to see the bigger picture w/o blowing a stack every week.

I will, but I will still complain. LoL.
Honestly I think if We draft well even with Mason/Haskins/Dobbs....
We will win more games than We lose.
Call Me stupid , but I have faith in the organization. Also I have seen this in 2019, and everyone of those Qbs is more experienced now.

The only way I would blow a stack is if they didn't fire Tomlin. I'd be pissed during game days but in between games I'd accept it. I tend to lose my mind no matter what during actual play.

    Since birth

I have 5 good friends, every one of them thinks I’m an *******

But they are still good longtime friends, I’m doing something right

As one said, I am the only person he could count on to get him out of a Mexican prison (no explanation will be added)

    Can you say that

What would suck if we reach on QB at #20 this year, go 2-15 and have a shot at a real franchise QB in 2023, but can't pull the trigger because we already have a #1 QB already on the roster.

You could then be just like the Browns who draft a 1st round QB every 3 years. :)
