Much like Belichick had to do (to a lesser extent) once Brady left for Tampa Bay, Tomlin has a chance to show everyone the Steelers success over the past 15 years is due to him as a coach, rather than Big Ben

I look forward to Tomlin silencing the haters this upcoming year with Mason Rudolph as his starting QB

    It's not totally crazy.

A winning season record in 2022 would prove a lot from Tomlin.

In 2021 we had the toughest strength of schedule in the NFL and one of the worst offenses, but we made the playoffs lol.

I doubt Tomlin will silent the haters, I do not expect Steelers to make the playoffs since Roethlisberger retired

You're singing up for the mason train? Im not sure if you like it but definitely sounds like you think it happening.

I got this feeling, with no QB drafted, that mason starts but Haskins finishes.

Not thrilled either way and hope Im massively wrong.

Looking at what MT has done and not done and being real about by saying he is not a real good coach is not hating. Calling all of his critics haters is being a real hater . We are intitled to our opinion just as you are ,we just see things differently than you.

Winning in the postseason would have silenced his critics. I guess if you give any coach enough chances they’ll eventually have a good season.

What about getting Tim Tebow to replace mighty Mike..........no experience but also no losing seasons.Makes as much sence as keeping Tomlin and Tim did beat us so he knows what needs changing.

I'm pretty sure CK13 read your post wrong. Nothing optimistic about what you said.

I agree with you. Tomlin will not have a .500 season with the crew he has but I sure the hell am not giving up just yet.

He went 8-8 with a worse crew in 2019 as far as I'm concerned. Go look at it. At the very minimum I expect this version of MR to be better than the one that played back in 2019 and Haskins should be a better option then Hodges. Haskins has a lot to prove...the first being that hes capable of beating out MR for a starter position. If he can't beat Rudolph he truly doesnt deserve to be in the league. How debilitating and humbling must that be??

I wish the USFL was the minor league version of the NFL, sort of like the D-League for the NBA, because they would both be sent down and be playing there right now.

I think anyone who frames a team's success as being exclusively down to either the HC or QB has a lot to learn.

It's near impossible to change anyone's mind about anything these days. With the broad availability of opinions, it's easy to reinforce one's own biases and beliefs.

In combination with social media encouraging bold statements to drive views and clicks, the grey zone between extremes continues to erode.

Substantially better O line in 2019 than 2021. The defense overall was substantially better as well.

Does anyone really think MT ever plays in another super bowl. Only way he would is if Bill Cowher comes in for a 4 year break and builds the super bowl team for him again. He was given the keys to a Ferrari and did not wreck it . Then he had to buy or build his own team and we got character like Bell and Brown who had no character. We are in the dark ages for super bowls but just not as bad as the bubby Brister era until we see Mason the red nosed Raindeer Rudolph hacking away next year and a defense that thinks tackling is optional on run plays.
