From Andrew Fillipponi so I won't believe it, until somebody credible reports it.

I could see Him wanting 2 get paid now. You never know what his targets will be with a Different Qb.
I mean people can say what they want about AB, but many a time if Ben was out.....Ab would disappear.
So I can see DJ wanting some pay now before His catches, or yards go down. Different Qbs see the field differently.

These contracts are getting beyond insane. Baseball is even worse.

The Steelers should tell Diontae he will have to wait until 2023, they have too many holes to fill to give him 15 million in 2022, if anybody gets paid it should be Minkah.

Baseball will always be the worst due to no salary cap.

That being said, revenue goes up every year, why shouldn't the player's salaries? Where do you think the extra revenue should go, the owners pockets?

Hopefully he doesn't drop the pen! But all kidding aside, e really need to see his hands improve before getting to deeply committed to him.

Yup, AB called out Landry Jones on the field like the first time he had to play with him.

As far as DJ, I’m sure they will pay him, just a matter of when, where does he fall on the list of priorities.

If he gives a million back every time he drops one because a defender is coming near him. We can also pay claypool for every time he stays vertical. We take back money for every degree he's tilted.

I say throw him a million at a time he gets to keep what he catches. That should put him closer to the 10 to 12 million I want to pay him

If they get a Rodgers...DJ is easily worth 15.... he would be Devontelike

But a running rookie... not going to feed him

Mason or Haskins his best option to get even half the throws Ben got to him

    HACK

I trade him for the same reasons he wants to get paid. We all know that his stock won't be this high this time next year. And since the days of Ernie Mills, Stone and Thigpen, the Steelers have always put together a very good receiver group. I don't see this guy being as good or better than Holmes or Mike Wallace for the short nor long term. Therefore, he's a replaceable asset.

He'd better prove it this year then.

No. Do NOT extend him until he does.

Only 3 WRs have ever gotten 2nd contracts past their Rookie deals with the Steelers the last 20 years.

Hines Ward, AB, and Juju (if you want to count the one year extension of Juju)

But one reason was Big Ben would elevate average talent and make them look great.

I think the only ones they maybe should of kept was Plaxico, he did good with G-men, but you had to decide Plax or Hines, you can't argue that choice.

Emmaunel Sanders was the other one, but it was either Sanders or AB, and how could you let a talent like AB go?, just too bad he didn't have Sanders mind.

Plax kind of did it 2 Himself. Remember after the AFC Championship game He said ....wasn't any reason 2 be on a team that wouldn't use Him as a weapon when they should have....not an exact quote, but I'm sure You can find it. Anyway He left, and We Won a SB the next Year. So....

Great post but won’t matter. It’s the Limas Sweed effect, DJ will forever be linked to his 14 drop season. He could drop 1 pass next season and this board will be like, 50 drops!

I think you need to take a look at his drops and top % compared to other players and realize he had 2 bad games. He has one of the best drop % in the game.

I pointed out once that Jerome Bettis had a higher fumble % than Jame Connor and Rashard Mendenhall and the person replied that I should shove my stats and numbers up my ass and that Conner and Menendhall fumble more

    Love the average fan lol

it's how he drops them and when. if there was any chance of him taking a shot or seemingly taking a shot the ball would hit the ground. he hurt us in some situations. that's just chicken chit. ray ray caught them and took shots. pay him. that's the kind of receiver i'd pay. not the one that only catches them when he's wide open. i was ahuge DJ fan but that type of thing soured me a little on him. then he wants big money? well son , you have to earn it. you are going to get hit sometimes.
