Did he do that? I don’t really follow his antics anymore besides when he got released from the Raiders and ran around his back yard and when he left Tampa.

 

They make false grass for lawns now it looks like artificial turf on a football field it comes in different lengths all the way down to putting green length and they have a selection for pets that let’s all their mess drain to the ground. But it’s really expensive. You would have to own it forever to recoup your investment.

 

Taxes... oh boy.
Many years ago I moved to Washington DC, I learned what Property values and taxes were... if that were not enough, I wound up in California for a brief period and just when I thought I knew property values and taxes were all about, I got punched in the face with brass knuckles. I practically ran back to the east coast.

I have 7 acres that I mow, I just hop on the John Deere and blast some rock-n-roll in my headphones and drink beer.

But I have to admit, after several years of that, and with old age creeping up, I am beginning to like my Outer Banks Beach house much better, there is sand that I have to sweep now and then and that is it. I can then focus on more valuable things like drinking beer with my old guy fishing buddies solving world problems and yelling at kids to
'Stay off my lawn' and such.

 

Sounds freaking great 2 Me.

 

That's what the old time Portuguese fisherman used to do in Point Loma. That way, no one would have to take care of it when they were out tuna fishing!

 

And that’s who mows my lawn, etc. But it’s not that simple. 16 years ago I started hiring the 14 year old several farms over. I taught him a lot about landscaping. Every time he needed money I’d find work for him. I own farm property, and forest. I think I paid about a third of his college tuition. When he graduated I helped him start a landscaping business. Now my work gets done exactly the way I want it, I get spring and fall cleanup, mulching etc, his guys stack the firewood I get, etc. My wife calls him “rent a son”. Only downside is he doesn’t work for $10/hr anymore.

I still bushhog 24 acres myself with a tractor.

So is a thread considered hijacked if one person brings about a different thought or is it the second guy responding to the different topic who's responsible for the hijacking of a thread?

Being that both these houses are well manicured, then is the thread really hijacked to begin with when we start talking about lawn care?

One time I had 2 pineapples. I stuck them both in the refrigerator, and later cut the tops off,and got a spoon. I ate about one whole pineapple, and a quarter of the other,and proceeded 2 throw them up. LoL.
