    :hmm:

Minkah Fitzpatrick is a bad trade eh?!

So..... if becoming the youngest ever Steelers Defender to acquire two First Team All Pros before turning 25 is considered bad... I surely hope every rookie can turn out like this!! Why?! I wonder what good players look like?!?! :hmm:

I believe you are in the minority of that thinking. That said, there is a reason that, in this case, majority outweighs minority here.

Getting rid of Canada. His play calling is more predictable than an episode of Walker Texas Ranger.

    true that
Never have a losing season amounts to “ settle for mediocre “ . A culture change where winning as a unit no matter what it takes is he culture shift. One Tomlin can NOT be a part of. IMHO he does not get the best out of his players and doesn’t create that hunger. They need to bleed black and gold.

The sorry truth is every position group other than RB is a major need! Even including OLB(no depth). Might as well start anywhere and get best available...usually you go this route when your're good! SMH! #Tomlinforever

I had a 66 Corvair convertible that the engine literally fell out of it while I was driving. It didn’t have a driver side window, when it rained you got wet. Best $45 car I ever bought.

I could not find the post. I thought it was you, but someone posted the stats after I believe it was game 3, his first two games were bad..but after that he played as a top safety. The splash plays he had when he first came here spoiled us, but that kid is the real deal. He is worth every cent it takes to keep him a Steeler.

The deal wasn't "absolute trash" by a long shot and if a similar trade were made 6 or 7 years ago it would be a great trade. In 2019 when the team was 0-3, your 37 year old QB just blew out his elbow, and you have only Mason Rudolph as your backup? uh...questionable.

No knock on Minkah, just that when the most important position on the field is a big question mark, it seems very sketchy to spend draft capital on a safety. This isn't hindsight on my part, either, I wrote this at the time and have consistently maintained that a safety, no matter how good, just isn't worth it when you don't have a QB.

As for leading the team in tackles, that's more a function of the rest of the defense than anything else. Once again, that's a not knock on Minkah, he was doing his job, but just about anyone playing deep free safety this year would have led the team in tackles. Hell, Edmunds was third on the team this year as strong safety.

i'm really starting to warm up to the idea of jamis winston or teddy bridgewater, instead of a rookie chance. keep the draft picks, spend the money wisely that we have and these guys upgrade the position and don't break the bank. we don't have to give up draft picks to acquire them and they are still young enough to give us years of solid play. i don't think either has hit their ceiling yet. we also don't waste the years of our newly acquired players while we groom a rookie.
