Sorry if this was covered in other threads, I'm just trying to get an idea of the final amount of picks the Steelers have in the 2022 draft, here is what I found:

    Pittsburgh Steelers Draft Picks 2022
    • Round 1
    • Round 2
    • Round 3
    • Round 4 *compensatory pick for Dupree
    • Round 7
    • Round 7
My question is what happened to the 6th from KC? I know they lost the Round 5 comp pick because Hague played too many snaps due to playing in game 17.

EDIT: I removed the overall pick number, I am just concerned with the rounds.

This is wrong right from the start. We draft at #20 in the first. Where did you find it?

    It's form Jan 3.

Ignore the overall pick number, I'm talking about the rounds.

4 in the top 100 is not bad, so not great but not terrible

(a friend who is an eagles fan told me the eagles have 3 first round picks this year, imagine that)

Ok, where did the extra 3rd come from? The Dupree comp pick is a 4th now I believe. Also, they lost the 5th comp for Hague due to his snap count, is that taken into account?

Compensatory picks have not been awarded yet, so any listing of comp picks is just a projection by people who have tried to replicate the algorithm.

    ahh, ok.

last question. So what happened to the conditional KC 6th round pick? Because they included it in another trade this year as well.

    no, that was a 5th.

I’ve been on a dozen different websites and I’ve seen a dozen different picks allocation scenarios

there's speculation that one of our third round draft picks might go towards a deal w Garoppolo.

I wld be ok with that (the deal was a 3rd round this year and a 6th next year plus salary)

If Garoppolo does not work out: I would target Howell and Pickett, as of right now, pre-combine, I wld be ok with drafting Howell or Pickett in the first if they were available

I'm not seeing that the Steelers have 2 x 3rd round picks. All recent sources I have read is that the Dupree pick will be a 4th rounder and that we lost the 5th round comp pick due to Hague's snap count.

yeah, i cant seem to find a definitive draft order for 2022, but ur right I have seen recent draft orders where the Steelers have 1,2,3,4,7,7, not two 3rd rounders
