On a similar note, The Browns have won more playoff games than the Steelers in the last 5 seasons.

Bengals have a lock down secondary that allowed them to do what they did to Mahomes.

They can run the ball, they are 3 deep with wrs that can beat you, and they have the QB.

Steelers are so far from that right now.

You clearly haven't watched much of Burrows this season. Much of the time, he has been running for his life.

Off topic: Najee Harris, and Dj have both been named to the pro bowl , replacing Chase and Mixon

Still rather have Sutton than Hilton......it was an either or situation, not both.

And it only took them 31 years to build a team to do it.

    Doubtful.

Outside of Junior Seau and Rodney Harrison, not too many other names of note of that 1994 Chargers Squad. Regarding the 2021 Cincy Bengals??... No shame in losing to the likes of Burrow, Chase, Mixon, Higgins, Bates, Hendrickson and Hubbard... just to name a few.

1994 loss was definitely.... something... for sure. For me, the 2017 loss to the Jaguars though.... ugh....

Wish it was under different circumstances; doubly so in Harris' case. Still though, happy and proud for him all the same!! Here is to more.

This would be true.... except Jessie Bates is the straw that stirs that drink. Remove him from that secondary and it is still good but not as great. Sounds familiar doesn't it?

He had much more of a running game to support him than Steelers have had. Part of that is running back, but quite a bit of it is Oline run blocking. We don’t have pass blocking or run blocking. People playing the Bengals have to respect the run. Also it keeps the offense from running obvious passing downs. Our line couldn’t even convert 3rd and 1 majority of the time. That conversion was automatic with LeVeon and the O-line he had to work with. Burrows is a good qb, but would struggle behind our line.

And they are cocky as hell with some aholes on that team. Steelers quit, Titans were afraid of us.

Screw these guys, hope they get blown out in the SB.

To the victor go the spoils of war my good sir. Cincy and their fans can act however they please. Best way to get back at them is to find the next one... and quickly.

If the Rams make it...I hope Bengals win. If the 49ers make it I hope the Bengals lose.
I just don't like the way the Rams have constructed their team , and believe it's bad for the NFL. So I can't root for them.

Who stated you were forbidden to do so? Assuredly not me. However, I believe that my overall point is being missed here as two statements are true...

1.) The Bengals have earned the right to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl...

    and.

2.) I also do hope that they lose as well... just have to wait and see.

I like Stafford, I think he is a great QB that had the misfortune of being stuck on a bad team for his career. Would like to see him get a SB.

The Steelers pissed away the last ten years with a franchise QB, so I'm not so confident even if they find the "one" it won't be more of the same.

If anything, the Rams winning the Super Bowl would be the nightmare scenario for the future of NFL Team Building. Teams may elect to say "to hell with drafting and developing players... just acquire super talented players in trade for picks!" That level of thinking thankfully ended with the Steelers of the 1970s as teams realized the importance of not just the acquisition of young talent but the cultivation and development of that talent. The general consensus among the Sports Media stating that the Rams are a Super Team and thus are a carbon copy of the NBA is very short sighted.

For a time, the NFL was this way from the 1950s all the way up until the early 1970s. Since the dynasties of the Steelers and 49ers... teams have instead elected to invest in their players for the long term. The 2000s Patriots may seem like an exception to the rule but their philosophy was based more so on role players who's release was due to their highest level of play already being maxed out by Bill Belichick.

What the 2021 Rams are doing are no different than what teams of the 1960s used to do; trade picks and instead acquire star level vets who can help compete for a title now. Should they win... that is going to change the NFL's current paradigm of team structure for some teams in a big way.

You said they can act however they please, I did not state that they couldn’t.

I don’t like them or care what they have earned, if being a perennial loser and accumulating high draft picks can be described as “earned”.
