It goes without saying....

That our Defense and Special Teams need to step up and deliver some points of their own. So far this season, the D has not scored any return touchdowns and our special teams have had two returns for TD's called back due to penalties. Without 7 in there for two and possible three games, in my opinion we need points from unexpected sources. Heck Dallas was in a dogfight with Philly last week and got 21 points in the 4th from their D and ST units. It boggles my mind why we continue to get almost no return TD's. At least that can do a couple of things....change momentum in a game if the other team has it or widened our lead should we have one, etc.

 

Unfortunatley AB has been hurt for the past two weeks and will be absent
this week also. he is a difference maker on special teams and our offense.
The second most important player on our team, and it has shown with out him.

 

Yep hope the D comes up big with a couple of pick 6s

 

If i am remembering right ??.. Woodley has big games for the most part against the Ravens.

 

It seems like forever, but when was the last time we blocked a punt?? Blocking punts is a huge game changer but it seems we never try to do it anymore, I guess if it's never practiced then it never gets used........

 

I don't want to beat a dead horse, but oh well! I have seen just today where the cheatriots got a pick 6 and a punt return for 6 in their game so far against the colts. We NEED that so bad from our ST and our D to counter the most likely dropoff from Ben to Lefty! Other good teams get that stuff and we don't or when we do get it, it's called back because of a penalty!

 

I'm sorry, make that two pick 6's for the Cheatriots! Damn it D, come on...take Flacco back to the house a couple of times tonight!

 

And the Pats almost got a second kick returned for a TD.
