I can't find anywhere that Melvin Ingram played against the Steelers on Sunday. Was he inactive,
hurt, or just didn't play? He is not on the tackling statistics. Thanks for your response. PitJax

He was on the sideline calling the plays because he knows our playbook so well. Hope I got the color correct. Being red-green color blind, I suck at sarcasm

Per this he played 37 snaps (54% of defensive snaps). He recorded 1 Solo tackle.

For the season he had 1 sack here and 1 (total) sack there.

He wasn't much of a factor which is weird cause he was looking like an all pro after we traded him. One would think that he would have had a pretty big chip on his shoulder the way he demanded to be traded due to lack of playing time. Maybe our offense was so bad that he really didn't need to do much, as most of it were self inflicted poor results, especially in the first half.

So the Steelers traded 1 sack, and 8 assisted tackles for a 6th round draft pick....I'd call that an overwhelming win.

Yes , Melvin Ingram Played the Steelers!!!

He signed a 1 yr 4 mil deal, Chiefs paid him 600K AND he’s on our 2022 books for almost 3 mil in dead cap hit and he was only here for 6 games, his 1st game he only played 17 snaps!!

In 5 games here he recorded 5 solo and 5 Asst tackles, 6 QB hits, 2 Tackles for loss, 1 sack and 1 pass defensed!

And he’s on our 2022 dead cap books for almost 3 mil…….
That’s an expensive 6th rd pick in my book

rather have the pick than someone who didn’t want to be on the team. He was a waste.

Think I will just add Melvin Ingram to the list of players who quit didn't want to be here and get to go win a Super Bowl.

    See Blount and Brown

to be fair, Brown also didn’t want to be with Oakland or New England

however, 2 to 3 total players and we act like no one wants to be a Steeler.

Speaking of guys who didnt want to be on the team and were pretty much a wasted roster spot...I wonder why they didnt have the same attitude with James Washington??? Why didnt the "we need volunteers, not hostages" line apply to him?? They should have let him walk and got a draft pick out of him for as little as they used him, and for as little as he did when out there that impacted a game.

Ingram had 1.0 sacks for KC

In the same time, Highsmith had 5.5

Any other year, yes. Steelers have plenty of cap space with Ben retiring.
