Would you want him as OC? He would be an upgrade over Canada.

Absolutely would. But I imagine him taking a year off and taking a college gig.

    Why would they fire him?

    Year 1 - 5-10-1
    Year 2 - 8-8
    Year 3 - 11-6

They missed Hopkins down the stretch.

His team just got wrecked by the Rams worse than we got wrecked by the chefs. They couldn't move the ball at all. Kyler was 7/17 for 28 yards and 2 INTs in the first half. I didn't think it was possible for a QB to have a worse half than Ben against the chefs, but there you go. And he is Kingsbury's guy that he went all in for. The collapse by the Cardinals this season is on par or maybe even worse than what we've seen the past few years with Tomlin. I'm afraid we'd be going from mediocre to bad with that coaching move.

He's been there for 3 years and improved the team every year. He's not getting fired.

Agreed. I know it was an ugly game, but it wouldn't make sense to fire him.

Any poster on this board, myself included, would be an improvement over Matt "Blame" Canada

Would you call a 2 yard pass on 3rd and 15 when you're down by 21?

Hell no. For that matter, this is not likely going to happen. Who is to say that Kliff returns to college?!

No report yet but I doubt Kliff would want to demote himself in the league; much less after being a Head Coach for as long as he has been.

I would say worse; doubly so given the fact that Kliffs teams collapse worse than Tomlin's do. Yes, Tomlin's collapses have been bad in 2019 and incredibly in 2020. They still pale in comparison to Kliffs. More info below..

What is even worse?! Kyler, as you said, was Kliffs guy. For that matter, he has been on record in stating he could get any team to the Super Bowl if he had Kyler. Well... that has not been the case.

I would bet the house that the Steelers bring in a Veteran.

    I don't think Haskins returns.

No Way Rudolph gets a free pass to the starting job. If he would have had a better game against Detroit maybe, but there is no way Pittsburgh can announce he is the starter until he has beaten out someone.

Good news with Ben gone, maybe Dobbs can start whispering in Mason's ear and help him out without fearing the rath of Big Ben.

No, but I also wouldn't call a qb draw from the 40 down 6 with 14 seconds to go. And then blame the refs when your qb and center don't know the rules. So there's that.

    No.

He's not getting fired. Even if he did, he'd go back to college.

Tomlin would never run an Air Raid offense and we don't have the personnel for it.

Can he bring Kyler Murray and his hand grenade pick 6 technique with him?

Cannot say I was surprised during today's EOY presser.

I've been hearing about his late season record constantly over the past few weeks, but it's nice to see it all in one place.

Sounds like someone who doesn't make adjustments and believes his system will always prevail.

Bring Ben back and try it out. We'll call it the Hindenburg offense. It'll be slow and ineffective, followed by a crash and burn.

Don’t see it. MT has criticised Mason at times and I don’t think he’d want to go in to a season without meaningful competition at the very least. Maybe he likes Haskins more than the fans do but even still. They will either draft a QB in the first round or bring in a veteran, or both, IMO
