This game starts at 1.15 am in Ireland and I have work the next day. Debating whether it’s worth taking a vacation day

I generally skipped the night games during the regular season and watched them the next day this year but there is no way I’m missing a playoff game

Especially since at 1:02 AM, Boz is going to kick a 44 yarder to win it as time expires in the second overtime!!

I'll miss it. Have to be up by 4 am. And I won't make it through the day without knowing who won. So, it's a wasted game for me.

I won't even get home from work until around halftime.

Not calling out though. I only get so many. Holding them in reserve just in case. ;)

Love it, great country if you don’t mind a bit of miserable weather now and again (or most of the time). NFL popularity is growing rapidly on this side of the water but the big issue is the night games that start at 1am, they are an absolute pain. It’s the first thing I check when the schedule comes out.

Hope to make it to Heinz Field some day but getting to Pittsburgh is a bit of a logistical nightmare, requires a long flight and a stopover in Philadelphia etc. I have been to a couple of NFL games in New York in the past though.

My wife told me to tell my boss tomorrow that I will need to work 4 - 10's next week. I think that is solid advice!

She also hinted at a honey do list.:huh1:

That was actually very short but if you play the Mega Millions tonight you may be able to still purchase it tomorrow.

I did midnight shift off and on in my career for 17 years. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.:@:(

I used to work rotating shifts. I’d typically have to work 6 PM to 6 AM for a few nights, and then swing back 2 days later and work 6 AM - 6 PM for a few days. That messed me up.

No thanks. When I looked at that property, it was an outboard motor repair shop/house. They wanted 15K for it. Dollars, not Pesos. I didn't think there would ever be a way to get rid of the smell of 2 cycle oil!
Since then, the Cape has turned into an outrageously expensive s*** show!

I just turned down a job offer like that last year. During the interview she explained the shift to me and I immediately blurted out "People like that?". I then said no thank you and excused myself.
Been working for 41 years now. Don't need that lifestyle.

Never been to Cabo. I did go to Mexico once. Tijuana. Was never so happy to get back on American soil. I consider it the arm pit of earth.

I'm flying out of that airport on Saturday. Tijuana's bad but, IMO, Juarez is where the enema nozzle gets inserted!

Safe travels. I'm sure there are beautiful parts of Mexico but I just don't have enough trust to go there again. Seems like a very shady country.

Just like anywhere else. If you go to the seedy parts, expect to see seedy things!
To paraphrase Rick talking to the Nazi Major in Casablanca, "There are certain parts of New York I would recommend you don't try to invade"

I don't mind staying up late - I just hate having to stay up late with Collinsworth. That was my major concern when I saw the playoff sked. I can't take that starvelling, elf-skin, dried neat's-tongue, bull's-pizzle, stock-fish.

Zihuatanejo, Pacific Ocean, north of Acapulco

last scene from Shawshank redemption was filmed in front of the hotel we stay at

old fishing village, fairly inexpensive, great beach, great food

the cartels launder money here. That would sound bad, but they don’t want publicity, so they don’t tolerate criminals screwing it up

likewise La Paz on the sea of Cortez

Zihuat is very nice though, I'm told fewer and fewer people are going because the Cartel activity is spilling over from Ixtapa. I haven't been there since the early 90s. Now, La Paz is a great spot. Very clean for a capitol city. For me, I'll take Puerto Vallarta.
